ARC 1: Her Pain

~Meliodas's POV~

"Father..?!" she asks. We have a principal change?

"Yes, Elizabeth. I am the new principal. Now what's with all the controversy??" the principal asks.

Well, if he's Elizabeth's father, perhaps I could get away with this dare. That doesn't mean I'm using her to do anything I want. I could never do that to her.

"Well, Mr Liones...trouble maker Meliodas refuses to go to his real classroom." Mr Hendrickson exclaims, with an irritated tone, which was probably because my name was coming out his mouth.

"Ah, I see. Meliodas, please stand up, or we'll escort you ourselves." Mr Liones demands.

"Just let him stay, he's not causing any harm.." Elizabeth says, drifting off.

"Fine..I'll alert the other teacher. However this is not some daily occurrence to switch classes everyday."

And with that, he walks off. Incredible, once Elizabeth says something, it's followed by the principal.

"Fine. But you better not cause any distractions in the class." Mr Hendrickson says, giving me a stern look. He already knew our table was going to be the most distracting.

Class went on without too much hassle, and we walk out. Something wasn't right though.

Elizabeth was uneasy again, wasn't she?

Honestly, I'm fed up of jackasses staring. Sure, she may be beautiful, but one, it makes me sort of uneasy too, because I just can't stand other men looking at her, even though she isn't even mine. I don't know why. Secondly, I hate seeing her upset.

I notice a group of men staring, and snickering.

"Damn, that's his rebound??" I heard one say.

"How'd he manage her??" Another one would ask, teasingly.

They then approach her, tapping her shoulder.

"Hey there, beautiful. Want to come to my house? I'll show you a good time" the third one says, winking at her. I could sense her uncomfortablness a mile away.

"U-uh..n-no thank you.." but as soon as she denied, they became colder.

"Listen, kid. You don't have a say in what we ask. I invited you to my house, and I will get pleasure." he says again.

He's about to grab her shoulder, until my hand is crushing his wrist. He screams in agony, but that's what he deserves for threatening my closest person.

"Let him go, bro!!" his friend said.

"Not until he apologizes" I say, accidentally in a dark tone. Shit, am I becoming more like my father? What will Elizabeth think of me??

"S-sorry..." the boy stammers. I let his wrist go, and give myself an ashamed look. I just hurt someone. Elizabeth is gonna hate me.

But instead of deep hatred and an argument, it's a hug.

"How am I going to repay you for all this?" Elizabeth asks, joyfully.

"No need. Just be yourself." I say again, wrapping her into my warm embrace. I hear a phone camera, then turn to see the others smirking at us. I roll my eyes, and we head to recess.

We sit at the table, laughing at each others jokes and chatting away, until I see the girl I did NOT want to see..

Liz...

"Sweetie poo....please...give me another chance...he went onto me! Besides you know all the good times we had??"

She had the nerve to ask that after what she's done?

I simply ignore her, eating my food. She then eyes Elizabeth up and down, in which I quickly notice.

"Ah, you're the bitch who stole him from me.." she growls, coldly.

"N-no..it's not like that..." Elizabeth quickly stammers.

"Don't lie to me, you whore!" in which after, she clicks her fingers. Her two- I'd say bffs but more like slaves and minions, stand either side of her.

"Liz just go away already, leave both Meliodas and Elizabeth alone. You didn't once think about Meliodas whilst you were shagging that other slag." Diane interrupts, rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me? Well, I'll have you know Meliodas and me planned our whole life together. I won't let that be ruined by his wimpy and weak friends! Cmon Meliodas, let's get away from these snakes. You can hang out with us" Liz says again, with a smile. Only it was fake. All of her plastered smiles are fake.

"Call my friends that again and I swear to god.." I say. She's getting on my final nerve.

"I'm sorry sweetie-poo, I just want to show my sorry by making sure you're safe with your friends!" she says whilst touching me all over my body.

"I belong to one person only and it definitely is not you, so HANDS OFF." I yell, punching her in the stomach.

"Aghh.." she groans, then turns towards Elizabeth, who is taking all these events in.

"It's you, isn't it?? You're the one he wants..I won't allow that..." she mumbles. Luckily enough I was able to hear it.

[INTERCOM]: May Elizabeth, Meliodas, Liz, Zaneri, and Jenna come to the principals office IMMEDIATELY.

(Zaneri and Jenna are both Liz's "besties")

I walk with Elizabeth casually, whilst Liz and the others practically run. Probably to get their version of the story out.

When we both arrive, we see two extra seats, luckily side by side, so I got to sit next to her.

"Elizabeth, I never thought my own daughter could get involved in such conflict. These girls told me everything.." Mr Liones starts to say, with a disappointed look.

"B-but father..." she says.

"Don't call me that, you don't classify as my daughter here in this school."

"Owwww it's soreee." Liz complains.

"It's okay, Liz. We will get our medical team to treat you." Mr Liones states, patting her head. She's being treated like his own, whilst Elizabeth is only being disregarded. Is this how it always was with her?

Tears roll down her eyes. It seems like she's been holding these in for a while.

"Father, you know I've been struggling for ages. You know how much I hurt myself. You know my pain. So why..? Why do you continue to break me down??" is all I heard, until she breaks down crying.

This broke my heart...
