Raven's POV
I have no clue where I am or who's all standing around me. I figure they must be important since they're all here, but I don't know why or how.
One man had been crying for the past ten minutes. He was very tall and his eyebrows were drawn on. He kept begging me to remember, but I couldn't. Who was he?
The rest of the men and women with him were all either pacing or crying. They kept asking me questions or trying to tell me stories that I don't remember but I was apparently in.
Doctors had been rushing in and out of my room for awhile now. They had asked me six questions; my name, the date, what happened to me, where I was, who was with me, and what do I remember about them. I got two out of six right; I was Raven Iris Bell and I was in the hospital.
A doctor walked into my room once more. He looked at everyone in here, including me, before settling his eyes on the tall, crying man. "Raven has severe memory loss. She won't be able to remember any of you guys, as well as other people, places, or things. This could last for days, weeks, months, years, or ... forever. We're very sorry. We need to keep her here for further observation until Tuesday."
I still want to know what happened to me. The doctor left and I turned to a short man with black eyeshadow around his eyes. "What happened to me?"
He gave me a small smile. "You were in a car accident. Do you remember anything about it?"
I racked my brain for information, coming up with nothing. "No. What's your name?"
"Ricky," he said. "That's Devin, Kylie, Balz, Ryan-Ashley, TJ, Angelo, Kelly, Ryan, Allie, and Chris." He pointed to each one of them.
"What are their relations to me?"
Devin spoke up. "Chris has been your friend since you were little. He's your boyfriend, now. Balz, Ryan, Ricky, Chris and I are all in a band together. Kylie is my girlfriend, Ryan-Ashley is Balz's, and Allie is Ryan's. Angelo is also your childhood friend, and he used to be in the band. Kelly is his fiancé. TJ is your cousin."
I glanced to Chris. "You're my boyfriend?"
Chris looked up and nodded. "Yeah. Do you remember anything? Anything at all?"
He looked so pained. I wanted to remember something, anything. "Is your middle name Thomas?"
Chris beamed and nodded. "Yes! Anything else?"
I bit my lip. "No, I'm sorry. I'm trying."
Chris walked over to me and grabbed my hand. "It's okay. Just keep thinking, hun."
He leaned in to kiss me, but I pulled back. I couldn't kiss a man I didn't remember. Even if he is my boyfriend, it seems wrong. He looked hurt, but smiled once more, and told me, "it's okay."
"Thank you."
"Hey, I think I'm gonna run over to Raven's house and grab some pictures from her room. Maybe that'll help," Kylie announced.
"I'll come, too," Devin replied.
They left the room and it was quiet for awhile, until I said, "tell me a story. Something you think I'll remember."
Everyone looked to Chris and he took a deep breath. "Remember when your parents died?"
I shook my head. My mom and dad were dead? I could've sworn I had just seen them, sometime ago. I don't remember what they look or sound like, but I recall calling someone mom and dad.
Damnit, I couldn't remember anything! Why? I felt like such a shitty person, and it wasn't even my fault! Wait ...
"Reggie!" I exclaim.
"What?" Chris's eyebrows furrow.
"Reggie and Yip! They live in Purple Meadows Storage Unit in Philadelphia!" I tell him.
His face brightened and he looked at Ryan. "Will you go look for him?"
Ryan shrugged and nodded. "I'll be back."
I do remember someone. Maybe it's not the person these guys want me to remember, but it's something. It's a start, right?
This isn't my favorite chapter. I like the plot but not the writing. Oh well.
