Raven's POV
It had been two days with my memories back. I'd also been feeling super sick since I woke up yesterday. I had to go back to the doctors so they could make sure my head trauma was doing okay and check on why I wasn't feeling good.
"You ready?" Chris asks.
I nod and follow him out to the car. My car was ruined from the crash, and I couldn't remember how to drive until two days ago. I needed to renew my license.
We drove in silence. My stomach hurt a little bit and I wasn't in the mood to conversate. Finally, we made it to the doctor's office and I held onto Chris's hand as we walked inside.
"Ahh, hello, Ms. Bell," one of the nurses said as she walked past me.
I said hello back, but I didn't know who she was. Chris told me she was one of the nurses that worked with my doctor. She helped preform surgery on me when I was in a coma.
"Bell," another nurse called. She smiled when she saw me. "Doctor Roberts is excited to see you."
I attempted to smile. I was never excited to see doctors. Nonetheless, Chris and I followed her into an office.
"He'll be with you in a few minutes," the nurse said, closing the door behind her.
Chris turns to me. "Are you feeling better?"
I nod. "Yeah. My stomach feels a little strange, though."
Dr. Roberts comes in about five minutes later.
"Ms. Raven Bell! I'm so happy to see you've made a great recovery!"
"Thank you," I reply, trying to sound as ecstatic as him.
He asked me the same six questions that he asked me the day I woke up, adding on a few more. After I answered them all, he said I was doing great and that my memories should remain.
"Now, what about stomach pain?" He asks.
"I've been puking for the past two days. Just smelling food nauseates me. My stomach still feels a little crappy, too."
"Okay, are periods regular?"
I can practically see Chris squirm when he hears that. He grabs his phone and starts playing some game, obviously not wanting to hear about my time of the month. Very understandable.
"Ehh, it's been a little messed up. Probably since I'm just getting into my normal routines and stuff."
He nods. "So, I'm gonna have a nurse bring in a cup. I'm gonna need a urine sample."
"Okay." I shrug, not knowing why he'd need that. Probably because he needs to test something. Maybe I could be really sick and he's just not telling me yet because he wants to verify.
Once he leaves the room, I say, "oh god! What if I'm super sick?"
Chris turns off his phone and looks at me. "What?"
"He asked for a urine sample!"
"And?"
"He's probably testing for ovarian cancer. He asked about my periods, too!"
Chris cringes at that. "You don't have ovarian cancer. You'll be okay, birdy."
The nurse opens the door and hands me the container. I glance to Chris with big eyes and then I'm following the nurse into a bathroom.
I pee in the cup and place it in the little cupboard thing. I wash my hands thoroughly because that's just nasty if you don't. The nurse leads me back into my room.
"We'll have any test results within twenty minutes," she tells me.
"It'd help if you guys told me what you were testing for," I mutter once she leaves.
"Baby, you'll be fine," Chris assures me. "He's probably making sure everything in your stomach is okay. You did have a little bit of internal bleeding after the crash."
I let out a deep breath and nod. "Yeah, probably."
"Don't sweat it. Oh, we have an offer on your house, by the way."
"Really?"
He nods. "Some young couple wanting to start their life together. Well, that's what the dude told me. He said he'll go with our offered price."
I smile. "That's great news. Tell him we can meet in person ... Wednesday? At three?"
"Yeah, I can tell him."
Dr. Roberts opens the door and glances down at his clipboard.
"So, your test results are great! No signs of any more internal injury. You seem to be healing up well. And, you have an extra passenger in there."
"What?" I question.
"Yup, you're pregnant!"
Yay? I feel like a lot of people do this in their stories but I don't want all my stories to be the same, so have this I guess.
