seventeen • house hunting

Chris's POV

Raven and I were parked outside of the house we were thinking about buying. We were waiting for the realtor, but the outside of the house looked nice.

Finally, she pulled up and we got out of the car. She smiled at us and introduced herself as Jane.

Raven held onto my hand tightly as we were led through the house. It was very spacious, although furniture would take up space.

The living room and kitchen were connected. The kitchen had huge counters and a nice oven. It had a two sided sink and a dishwasher, and the floors were hardwood. The living room was empty, but the walls were white and it had a lot of space. A small half bathroom was placed at the end of the kitchen.

The two bedrooms were nice. The master was huge, and it had the walk in closet Raven wanted. One of the bathrooms was connected. The tub was very large, which was good for Raven because she loved baths.

The second bedroom, which would be Criminal's, was a little bit smaller. It also had a bathroom connected onto it, similar to ours.

The basement didn't have anything in it, but it was spacious. It had carpet and painted walls, so it didn't need to be renovated.

The realtor led us outside and we saw the pool and hot tub. Raven smiled at me and nodded.

"We'll take it," I decide.

Jane begins to explain the pricing and options for paying. Everything is quickly set in stone.

"You guys can move in tomorrow, or whenever is convenient after that," Jane says.

"Okay, thank you so much!" Raven exclaims.

I hold her tightly to my side as we walk back to our car. We are finally settling down and starting our lives together.

"What shirt?"

I glance at the two MIW shirts that Raven was holding. Shrugging, I say, "pack both."

We were packing for tour. Our realtor had told us it'd be fine if we moved in right after we got home. Our plan was to tell the apartment owner that we were moving on our break from tour so he could put the apartment on the market, and then we'd go back on tour, then straight to our new house when tour was over.

"When do we have a break from tour?" Raven questions.

"A month after it starts."

"I have to schedule my doctor's appointment during that time, then."

I nod. "The break is only for a week, so we can do that and maybe visit my parents or something."

"Okay."

We continue folding and packing clothes until I hear a knock on the door. I go downstairs as Raven continues on.

I open the door to see the guys and their girlfriends, as well as Angelo and Kelly.

"Um ..."

"Surprise!" Kylie shouts.

"Did we have plans?" I question as I let everyone inside.

Ricky shakes his head. "No, we just wanted to come over and visit."

"Thanks for letting us know," I joke. "Raven!" I call.

She slowly walks down the stairs and peeps her head around the corner to see who was here. "Oh, hi."

Kylie smiles. "How are you feeling? How's the baby?"

"Criminal and I are doing good."

"How about we go shopping and the guys can hang out?" Ryan-Ashley suggests.

Raven nods. "Sure, let me grab my purse."

I shake my head and reach into my pocket. I pull my wallet out and hand her my credit card. "Be smart."

She rolls her eyes. "Yes, dad. Thanks."

I kiss her quickly. She smiles and follows Kylie, Ryan-Ashley, Allie, Kelly, and Jaime outside.

The guys and I sit down on the couch and turn on The Office. We don't really watch it, we just talk about tour and stuff.

"Let's order wings," Balz says.

I pull out my phone. "Good idea."

Soon enough, everyone's food was ordered. We continued watching The Office, bored out of our minds. I text Raven, not knowing what else to do.

Me: hey can u get sum more almond milk please

Raven: sure

Me: thx hun. U at the mall yet?

Raven: almost, I'll text u when I'm omw home

Me: okay, I love u

Raven: I love u too

"Are you excited to be a dad?" Angelo asks.

"Yeah," I reply.

"Are you hoping it's a girl or a boy?" Ryan joins in the conversation.

I shrug. "I'm fine with either."

"Criminal is gonna have some awesome uncles." Vinny raises his eyebrows and nods.

I laugh and agree. "Yes, they are."

I don't know where'd I'd be without these guys and Raven. I'm so grateful for them.

I didn't know how to end this. It's another shitty filler.
