There's something about nature that makes me feel so calm
So, welcomed
Being outside, laying in the grass creating the warm type of snowman
With nothing but the clothes on your body
And the tall grass surrounding you like the ground is trying to spoon you
Look at the clouds
And let Mother Nature tell you Her story
Let Her remind you that storms are beautiful
And just because you are a storm does not mean that you are doing anything wrong
Let Mother Nature nurture you with Her light breeze on a hot day
Live Her story
Plant yourself into the ground
And imagine your heart growing into a tree
A tree with no brain
Just a soul
Grow and live long enough to have two initials carved into you
And then have one pair of hands touch you with wrinkles
Feel Mother Nature as She dyes the tips of your leaves the color you were always too nervous to try yourself
And then let children play when She realizes you need a hair cut
Embrace being naked
Embrace having nothing but your bark exposed
Realize that you are still beautiful
And the snow is a gift from Mother Nature so people will paint your strong branches
With a sparkle
She will teach you that sparkles and smiles can make any day okay
When you're lying in that field, probably wanting to check your phone,
Mother Nature will put Her hand on your shoulder
And tell you to just slow down
To smell the roses because there isn't an app for that
Make friends with the bugs whose life span is only of a few days or weeks
But they still live perfect – simple – lives
They still pray to the Earth to keep their children alive
So that every piece of this planet can work together
Technology is great
But laying in the field
And stepping away from your body
And becoming a sunflower
Or a deer
Or a tree
You don't have anxiety anymore
You are free
Mother Nature allows us to pray to Gods instead of Her
Because She doesn't need anybody to create the perfectly constructed plan that makes the world work
She doesn't need to be told She's doing a good job, because She knows damn well how perfect She is
Maybe if I appreciate her enough,
And listen to Her lessons,
When I leave this body
She will turn me into the wind
To be her apprentice
So She can sit down and rest
Because She deserves so much rest
She is doing such a great job
But she can't do everything
