Okay so before I start this chapter I just wanna say that I'm very happy cuz apparently I have like 150 views on this story?? Like that's a lot more than I thought I'd get cuz... I kinda suck at writing stories. So thanks for all the support I get from people who read this story. I'm not used to having anything I do be popular so this is like really awkward for me cuz I write for fun and I'm not used to having anybody else ever read it. Like... ever. I'm the kind of person who reads other people's work, and so it really helps my self-esteem and confidence when I realize that people actually like me, since I've had a problem where everyone for my entire elementary school years hated me. So this is nice and thanks.

Okay welp now that I've wasted your time with my crap I'll go ahead and write the actual story now. I'll try giving shoutouts to one of my favorite and most supportive users when I'm done.

Amethyst PoV

Pearl was gone for about an hour.

I was SUPER BORED and there was NOTHING TO DO.

I basically sat there awkwardly for the whole hour waiting for Pearl to come back so we could hang out.

In my mind, this was sorta a date, but not really. Y'know?

You might, but you also might not.

I'm confusing myself now.

Pearl finally arrived, Connie by her side. I was eating a sandwich... cuz' I'm me.

My mouth was full, but I'm also rude, and I wanna talk, so I did.

"Yo. Wassup?"

Connie lightly giggled at me and my full mouth. Pearl scoffed at my bad behavior, but what can I say? I'm doing me, like I said.

"Amethyst, you know it's rude to talk with your mouth full. Plus it sets a bad example for Connie."

"Yeah, you're right... buuuut also I wanna talk. And I wanna eat my sandwich. Hey, maybe Connie could teach me a thing or two, since she's responsible."

Pearl rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Anyways, weren't we gunna hang out? Is... that still something we get to do?"

I hope I didn't ruin it with my sandwich.

"Of course we are, Amethyst. You may be rude sometimes, but... to be honest, I was looking forward to it and I'd still like to go.

My heart and spirits raised.

So I didn't ruin it with my sandwich! That's a nice surprise.

Pearl noticed my face light up and smiled.

"You still need to get that habit fixed, though," she said, with a teasing smile.

I laughed. "I can try, but I probably won't be able to."

She chuckled. "Alright. I don't have anything else planned today, so... if you want, we could go now."

I happily ate the rest of the sandwich in agreement, but nodded happily instead of responding with words, as though to say "I can fix bad habits, see?"

She smiled.

I swallowed and got up, walking out with Pearl and Connie behind me.

"I'm gonna go see what Steven's up to. Any idea where he went?"

"Yep. He's off at Little Homeworld with P-dot, makin' her confront her fears. So y'know, having fun."

She laughed. "Yeah, I bet. Thanks. Bye Amethyst! Bye Pearl! See ya later!"
