We've hit 1000 views!!

Thank you all so much for all the support! I didn't expect this story to set off so well and I'm so glad it did!

It's all thanks to you guys!

Sooooo... for this chapter we'll do a little Christmas special, for the sake of 1000 views!

Amethyst PoV

I came into the living room holding a couple of presents (and possibly a mistletoe that I'd have fun with later).

Pearl and Garnet followed me. I had been wearing an elf hat that Pearl put on me, but I ended up eating it instead.

Pearl was wearing a Santa hat and Garnet was wearing a Santa coat (which was really a leather jacket she'd spray-painted red and white), which was hilarious to me.

Steven and Connie were sharing the fireplace and Lapis was huddled close to Peridot on the couch.

It was pretty cute.

We heard Greg in the bathroom, presumably brushing his hair.

Luckily that wouldn't take too long anymore, firstly since Greg's hair is so short and secondly because he can barely stand looking at himself in the mirror without crying.

Steven turned his head as we entered, and I saw Connie wave.

"Hey guys. You took a while."

"Yeah, only cuz' we weren't sure what to get you. You've changed so much I barely know your interests anymore."

He seemed to cringe a little bit at that, but he knew I didn't mean any harm.

At least, not too much harm.

He gestured to the tree. "You can put the presents under there, it's a little awkward to just stand there carrying them."

We put the presents underneath.

Then I pulled Pearl over to the fireplace, and grabbed a blanket.

She sighed and settled next to me, granting her with a thank-you smile.

Garnet just sat down on the couch.

"Bismuth couldn't make it?" I asked.

"Nope. Said she was too busy working at the forge. Some big project she wants to try or something."

"Aww, but now not everyone'll be here!"

"Yeah, it's a bummer. I'm sure if she could she would, but she sounded really urgent when I asked, so I pretty much assumed it was super important."

"Fair enough," Pearl piped in.

Greg came out of the bathroom, his hair looking nice in a way it hadn't at all lately, considering the fact that it's hard for him to brush it.

"All right, Schtu-ball. Ya ready?"

"Yeah," Steven said, getting up and sorting all the presents.

We opened the presents. Steven got a calendar, Connie got a movie based on that Unfamiliar Familiar book series she and Steven liked so much, Greg got a massager, cuz he needs a break, and me and Peridot got something too.

Peridot got Breath of the Wild (a Zelda game that's wildly popular of late) and I got a pack of candy canes.

I finished it in one bite.

Then came the fun part.

So y'know how earlier I mentioned having a mistletoe? Well, now was the time.

I slipped up behind Lapis and Peridot and pulled it out, a sly grin on my face.

Steven gasped and giggled, and then had to explain what a mistletoe was and what the Christmas tradition was.

The two shared a small kiss, and it was adorable.

But now it was tricky, because sneaking up on Garnet would be difficult and Steven and Connie are wary of me now after Lapis and Peridot.

I got behind the two humans though, and watched them kiss, making me fill with warmth.

Then I got behind Garnet and quickly flashed my mistletoe, smiling.

She sighed with a small, flustered smile and, to my surprise (although honestly I don't know what I expected), Garnet unfused and Ruby and Sapphire kissed.

That was everyone, or everyone who was in a relationship and made sense.

I wasn't about to force Pearl to kiss Greg- that'd be going too far (and I'd be incredibly jealous).

Something else happened instead. Something that embarrassed the heck outta me.

As a little bit of friendly revenge, Lapis stole my mistletoe.

And guess who I was paired with?

That's right- Pearl.

Because of course she'd pair me to kiss the person I love.

That's just what Christler is all about, right?

She blushed hard- and so did I- and she leaned down and kissed me- not on the cheek (which was allowed if you and your friend are under a mistletoe, you can look it up) but on my lips, procuring a blush that was stronger than any blush I've ever had before.

Her lips were soft and warm.

I loved it.

What really hit me is that although she seemed a little flustered by having to kiss me, she wasn't bothered.

At all.

I pretty much felt like I had won the lottery, even though it was a kiss under the mistletoe.

It's all part of the Christmas surprise and magic, after all~

welp you've got one kiss. you're welcome UwU
