It was a fine Tuesday afternoon. I was sitting in the library minding my own business until Violet decided to join me.
It didn't go horrible as I was expecting since she was dissing Allison.
Ah, bitching about Allison and Derek has become my favorite thing now.
Violet made a comment on Allison's outfit from the night of her birthday, to which I laughed loudly like a maniac .
Soon Issac and Josh joined us too. Issac claimed, my laugh was so loud that they heard it from the entrance of the library and because of which it was easy for them to spot us, since everyone was ogling me.
"Intercollegiate events for this year is insanely exciting man!" Josh stated enthusiastically.
"Yeah, I have seen the brochure's . They've interesting events." Issac agreed with him.
"How come you saw the brochure's and not us? Today only I went to see the board for intercollegiate events there was none such." Violet asked them.
"Babe, I'm chummy with the college leader-" Josh started, Issac looked at him and leaned back, crossing his hands against his chest and looked at Josh, as if challenging him to speak further.
"Oh, shut up the look Issac is giving to you explains everything." Violet said smacking her boyfriend's head.
"Okay, fine. Pearl gave the details to Issac." Josh sighed dramatically.
"So you both are going to the events?" Violet asked.
"Well, I'm thinking to." Josh said scratching his head where Violet just smacked him.
"I'm looking forward to the sports events." Isaac replied.
"Why? They don't have any events relating Moot Court or representing the law sections?" Issac was sitting right beside me so I leaned towards him and asked him, with a smirk.
He looked amused, as he's taller than me, I was looking up at him through my lashes and he was looking down at me with a smug. "Sports isn't a cup of your tea Forbes, is it?"
I craned my neck up, which left very little distance between our faces.
"Well, sports means engaging your body in some kind of activity and eating is my favorite activity."
"Of course." Rolling his eyes, he chuckled.
"What about you babe?" Josh asked loudly to Violet.
With that question the spell around us was broken. Issac leaned back to the chair and so did I.
"I would choose sleep over traveling for an hour." Violet nonchalantly shrugged.
"Well, aren't you speaking my language today." I haughtily said to her.
"I know right." By saying this she raised her right hand for a high five, I raised my hand to clap hers, she immediately ducked her hand and ran her fingers through her hair smiling in victory. I smirked and slapped her head harder than I intended to.
"Ouch Diana, that really hurts." She whined and looked at her prince charming boyfriend.
"Aren't you gonna say something to her?"
"You had it coming."
"Oh my God." Violet suddenly said.
Issac looked at her, "What happened? You feel dizzy from the slap?" He asked smirking.
"As matter of fact, yes! But... Now, don't look right away, Blake is coming here."
"I didn't know, you're this petrified of him." I said.
She looked at me dead, "You obviously haven't heard then."
"Hear what?" I asked squinting my eyes at her.
"Hello, Blake."
"Hey, man."
Issac and Josh said in unison.
"Good afternoon, people." Blake said, flashing his smile to everyone, then his eyes settled on me. "Hello, Anna."
Violet immediately snapped her neck towards me, which was followed Josh and then Issac.
I slumped in the chair to avoid their gaze and awkwardly said, "Howdy, Blakey."
"My apologies if I'm interrupting you all." Blake stated sophisticatedly.
"Naah, man we were just talking about anything. What's up?" Josh asked him.
"You can join us if you want." Violet directed her statement to Blake still looking at me, she didn't even bothered to crane her neck towards Blake while saying.
I looked at Violet with a murderous glare, she finally gives up and leaned back to her chair.
"Thank you, but I have to pass. I'm in a hurry." He politely rejected Violet's offer and then looked at me, "Anna can I talk to you for a second."
Violet once again snapped her neck towards me, so did Josh and Issac.
"Sure." Afraid Violet would make any other cringey comment, I immediately stood up from my chair and went out of the library with Blake.
"I'm sorry for abruptly calling you out like this." Blake softly conveyed.
I shake my head. "There's no need to apologise, silly."
He smiled. Unlike other times this one seemed to be a genuine carefree smile.
"My parents are back from the fundraising campaign, and Mom was asking about you."
Mr and Mrs Mason were out of the town for more than month holding a fundraising campaign, according to headlines that I have known.
My eyes widened in surprise, even after all the hectic schedule Mrs. Mason still remembers me.
"Is everything alright?" I was panicking now, why would she ask for me?
"No need to panic Anna, everything is alright." Blake assured me. "Although she was complaining that she doesn't see you around much."
Not knowing what to say I chuckled, which sounded like a sheep who has been whipped.
"She was wondering if you could join us for a dinner on Friday." Without wasting much time he came to the point directly.
I sighed and aimlessly looked anywhere, but Blake.
Dinner, why would she invite me for the dinner?
Is she going to ask me money, for the reconstruction of the town house?
Tabs has been opened in my mind, trying to figure out the reasons.
As if reading my mind Blake put his right hand on my shoulder, "It's just a simple dinner Anna, and if it makes you feel comfortable, my dad won't be there only you, me and my Mom."
Well, it doesn't gives me any relief, but I still said,
"Okay."
