ISSAC'S POV
Unpredictable.
Diana is the epitome of the word, Unpredictable.
When she hopped into Scott's car, in the back of mind I thought she might end up in lock up again. That was the reason why I was freaking out earlier.
Actually, there were many.
Although, never once I thought, I will find her in front of my apartment wing.
She was standing in front of me carrying a massive bag which seemed fairly heavy. So I took it from her. I peeked in the bag and lifted an eyebrow at her. "Did you rob a grocery store?"
She sarcastically smiled at me, " You always think of me highly, don't you?"
I shut my eyes and sighed. I did everything in my control not to grin, but it's her.
Diana.
A person will have to be devoid of soul, not to smile, laugh or giggle when she speaks.
"What are you doing here? It's past midnight. Don't you have ground rules? To be home by ten?" I no longer hold the questions as I'm genuinely curious. Why she is out and why, why she was with Scott.
She narrowed her eyes at me and asked in a voice which contradicted her expressions."Uh..... What makes you mull I can't hang out at night?"
She flipped her hair dramatically, "I can be out at any time I want. I'm twenty."
I pressed my lips into a thin line to stop a smirk which was dying to form on my face. I leaned closer to her, I expected her to step back, but she didn't. Much to my pleasure her eyes lingered on my lips.
Ah, how I missed her silently gazing at my lips while I speak to her and her thinking I don't pay attention to where her eyes are.
"Looking at the fact you stay under your parents roof, it's pretty late to be out."I muttered with humor in my voice. She instantly lifts her eyes from my lip to my eyes. "Are you making fun of me for staying with my parents?"
I step back from her, she totally took it in the wrong way.
"I dare not."
"You better not."
"What are you doing here?" I inquire without wasting further time. She looked at me blankly. She performed her little blinking game like she always does when she is hesitating or is unable to answer anything.
"It's really annoying for you to keep asking me questions and not inviting me to your apartment." She complained and scowled at me.
I opened my mouth to ask her why she wants to come to my apartment, but she raised both of her eyebrows, daring me to utter another word. I sighed and bow down.
"Milady, please do follow me."
********************
I opened the door and toss the keys on the coffee table. I padded my way to the kitchen. Dropped the bag on the kitchen counter and straight away went to the fridge. Fetch a mixed juice jug, which I had made today morning I turned to Diana,"Do you want some-" I stand still as I realized she is not in the kitchen. I guessed she would follow me to the kitchen. In fact, she didn't come after me at all.
She stood there at the door, she looked deathly pale. "Diana? Is everything alright?" I asked warily. She gulped and whispered. "Is your roommate here?"
I scrunched my eyebrows at her question. "Have you met my roommate?"
"Yes?" She gave me a contradictory answer.
