The start of the evening was quite disappointing for me as, Mrs Mason decided to bail on us.
Not because I was looking forward to have dinner with her, I'm mad at her for choosing the society over Blake.

One look at Blake and I can say how much he is  wretched. He has a smile pinned on his face, but I can sense his sorrow.

From the beginning I have seen Blake living in this gigantic mansion all by himself.

I never once have seen any of his parents attending a function or basketball game where Blake is concerned. They have attended events in school and college where they were invited as guest of honor.

Blake never had a normal lunch, dinner or any kind meal with his parents because they were always busy eating at some fundraising event or some kind of society development gala.

The fact that he gave Mr. Huber and Ms. Lilly a day off and he cooked the meal all by himself says how much this dinner meant to him.

Though Mr. Huber is his butler, he has always treated, Blake as his own family. I can't even imagine what life Blake would have if he won't be there.

I hated April with passion because of my selfish reasons, but at least she used to be around Blake for lunches and dinners. Now that they are not together anymore, It can be clearly seen how much Blake desperately wants to be around people so that he won't feel lonely.

I know it's wrong of me to despise Blake's parents right now, but how can I not? They have always chosen the society  over their only son. Can't they take a five minute break from their hectic schedule to have a tea with their son?

Thank God, I accepted the invitation. Otherwise Blake would have eaten the dinner of three, which he had made himself alone.

One of the reasons why Blake never clearly shares and express his opinions and feelings is because of them. I still remember his reply in ninth standard when I asked him why he doesn't express himself and he replied saying, the day he does, he is afraid that he will stand up to his parents and they  won't love him anymore.

It pained my heart to see how a normal teenage boy matured so much, because of the constant absence of his Mom and Dad.

God bless Issac, He was a big help to start an easy conversation. He knew just what to say at the right moment and he knew when to do it.

Blake was serving us the starters when Issac started to narrate the embarrassing situations he has been through while practicing football.

I was laughing so hard that the guard who has been assigned for Blake, came to check in. He even asked Blake whether his ear drums are okay, since I was laughing so loudly sitting right beside him.

I felt offended so I tried to control, by holding my breath. Then the guard whose name is Stefan, who is hot by the way asked Blake if he needs a doctor to see for his ears.

I bust out in laughter again.

Blake politely asked him to leave. Stefan  gave me a sting eye and went.

"You have been laughing for twenty minutes Diana." Blake said, concern laced in voice.

"That's the fifth type of laugh I'm hearing from this girl." Issac said poking my cheeks and continued. "And definitely the scariest one."

He found it scary because, my laugh now sounds like a typical witch who's ready to roam around, in the night with her broom.

I finally stopped laughing, as my stomach and back started to ache. I stood up from the chair and stretched my body unladylike, and moaned in pain when I finally hit the correct spot.
