"She might not remember, what do we do then?"
"We have to tell her the truth, she will be sorry but she will be able to live without him."
"She couldn't live without you."
"She did for a year, and it may be different now, she has grown up so much in the past year from last time I saw her."
"I'm going to go explain to Ginny how you got back, keep an eye out for her while I'm gone... and if she does wake up, tell her."
A door slams shut and I wake up groaning, my head feels like it's split in half and I can't move my ankle. I see Parker sitting at my bedside, holding my hand, he looks up and smiles when he sees I've awoken.
"Take it easy, the docs gave you medicine for your ankle and wrapped it up, they say you might have a headache when you wake," he whispers.
"I do actually," I grab my head with my free hand and Parker hands me a water bottle, "Drink slowly," he speaks to me.
I drink the water slowly and then hand it back to him.
"Do you remember what happened?" he asks.
"Yeah, bits and pieces, but I remember- main events," I hesitate before choosing my words.
"How are you then?" he asks and I sigh.
"I'm okay, there's really nothing we can do now, I'm sorry I lost him, but now I have this guilt on me. He didn't know why I wanted to talk to him- he didn't know I was breaking up with him."
"Have you taken your religion courses yet?" he keeps quizzing me.
"No, d-do the Gifted even have a religion?" I ask.
"Yeah, but we don't believe in any Godly stuff," he explains, "we believe in one man guiding us, an honest, brave, and true man, like he could be a God but not quite. Anyways when people die they go to the Other World as we call it, basically a land of the dead. I, myself, have died but not truly had my spirit transported to the Other World, because my life was chained to a vase, but now it's broken so now I can die and go to the Other World, so let's make sure I don't die again," he winks.
"Did Liam go to the Other World?" I ask.
"Yes, he did, don't worry. Knowing he died protecting and saving he died a hero, so that means he'll live a good life in the Other World. But when I die, I probably will be living the bad life because of what I've done in my past." his tone drops to a whisper at the last part.
"Don't say that," I beg, "you've change."
"A person can never truly change." he looks at me hurtfully.
"Why? Parker? What's the problem?"
"Everytime I look in your beautiful stormy eyes, I flashback, back to what I did to you, when I hurt you. I will never forgive myself."
"That doesn't matter anymore! That's in the past now," I sit up and touch his cheek gently, "I love you more than I love myself."
"Don't say that. You can't love me because I'm a beast inside," he looks away from my eyes.
"Then I'm your Beauty, and I will forever love you," I whisper and smile at him.
He looks me in the eye again and kisses me gently, after minutes have passed, I hear the door open and then I pull away and see Marcus awkwardly standing there scratching the back of his head, "Uh, did I interrupt?"
I laugh at him and he smiles, I never knew I could be happy again in my life, but now I am.
"So, we got to do some planning and uh-" he stops but then starts again, "We need to figure out what to do about our crazy uncle."
