"We have to get her back!" Marcus screams at us.
"Calm down!" I yell at him, "Don't you think for a second that I care about our cousin too?"
He stops. I've never yelled at him like that and he knows it. I'm mad at him and why shouldn't I be? He's acting so selfish.
"The spirit headed in that direction," Parker points, "so I'm guessing we should head that way."
We both nod silently and follow Parker.
"Isn't there some easier way we could travel? I've read stories before and they have easy ways to travel." I ask Parker.
"There is one way, but it's forbidden now. It's too dangerous." he speaks softly.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Time travel," he sighs,"you can travel ahead to your destination, but it's forbidden."
"Oh. That's a shame. It sounds so much easier," I sigh.
"Well I wouldn't even know how to activate it." he smiles at me and I smile back.
By sunset we reach a small cave entrance in the bottom of the mountain. Snow covers the rock and the hole is about the size of half a door. The gray skies cover over head and I see my breath before me and take a deep one.
"You want to go first?" Parker smirks.
"Sure." I shrug even though I'm nervous.
"Don't let him do what I did to you," Parker teases.
"I'm capable of hurting him," I tease back and he just laughs.
I crawl down and put my hand inside the hole and start to crawl through the smoothly carved hole. It's about eight feet long before it grows larger so I can stand. I look through back at Parker and Marcus and scream, "All clear! C'mon through!"
Marcus starts to crawl through and when he's done so does Parker. We stand looking at the fork ahead of us. I don't let Marcus ask 'which way' instead I head towards the left part of the fork and they follow me, and hopefully trusting my judgement.
I hear a voice before I step further. It sounds like Max.
"Oh Megara, I'm using you as bait. When those three come to save you they won't ever see daylight again."
Then I hear Meg muffle in response, she must be gagged.
"If only they knew I already know that they're already here," I know he is smirking and I just choke in response when I see a dark blob hurtling towards me. I duck but another dark blob hits me from behind and my eyes roll back and I pass out.
