Chapter Fourteen

"How did you even find him?" I ask stunned.
"Ginnifer used a tracking spell, he's in Quebec, Canada," Marcus smiles.
"The Forbidden Land," Parker mumbles.
"What?" I ask.
"The Forbidden Land is Canada, you're magic is weak there, you still have it but it's really weak, you drain your energy a lot too." he adds.
"Okay, well that's an issue." Marcus sighs.
"It's probably why he went there," I suggest, "we need to talk to mom about why he wants to kill us."
"Yeah, lets go visit her during lunch," Marcus gets up and leaves me with Parker.
"Do you know anything about him?" I ask Parker.
"Only that my dad banished him."
"Do you want to come with me and Marcus to help?"
"Yeah, I need something to do, staring at walls isn't cutting it for me," he smiles.
I kiss him gently and pull away to go find mom.
"Hey mom!" I exclaim.
"Marcus, Marvina! What are you doing here?" she asks.
"We need information about Uncle Max, and we need all of it," Marcus demands.
She sighs, "This will be hard to explain, Max is my older brother and he married a woman named, Meredith, after three years of marriage Meredith gave birth to a baby girl, they named her Megara. Now, Max thought Megara would be the chosen one of the royal generation but when she turned 2 he figured out she wasn't going to be because that was the year I had you two and that was the year the prophecy of the twins was spoken. Out of jealousy, he threatened to kill you two but Mathew, or Drake, banished him to Canada. Unfortunately, when he got to Canada he killed Penelope, why? I don't know, maybe because he thought that even though she was Gifted she didn't fulfill what he wanted. He didn't kill Megara though, maybe he still had a hope she would turn out to be the chosen one, but who knows where she is now, if I were her I would've ran away once I was capable."
"So, he's a lunatic," I add.
"Pretty much," she sighs.
"Mom, you have to grant us permission to go find him and destroy him," Marcus begs.
"I don't want you two to get hurt-"
"You can trust us! Plus, Parker can come along to help!" I add with a smile.
"Okay, fine, but if you die during this, I will never forgive myself. Stay safe, I love you two," she gives us air kisses and we leave the room and start making a game plan with Parker.
Later that night, Ginnifer visits Marcus, I eavesdrop while I pretend to read a history book and do homework.
"Marcus! Let me come! Please!" she begs.
"No, I don't want you to get hurt, I love you and I can't afford to lose you." he hugs her.
"But-"
"You're safer here, and I promise I'll contact you every three days and if something happens to me, Marvina will contact you right away." he promises.
"Promise me, nothing will happen to you though?"
"I promise I will stay safe. For you," he kisses her and I look away, focusing on my homework, I'll talk to him in the morning about the plan.
