Chapter 6: The Vacation Part 3

As they walked back inside, hand in hand, they discovered that everyone had gone off to bed. Checking the time, Joey notices that it's already 12:30 in the morning. 

"I guess everyone went to sleep. Which means we have the house to ourselves," Lauren said as she looked deep into Joey's eyes. "I'm not even tired though. Do you wanna stay up for a bit?"

"I'd love to. We can put on a movie. Darren and I packed a few for the week," Joey responded and Lauren nodded in agreement, sitting on the couch. "We packed the first four Harry Potter movies cause Darren's still working on his Harry Potter musical. We also have Aladdin and Batman. Which one sounds best?"

"I like the Sorcerer's Stone. Put that one in," she responded.

Joey started the movie and walked over to the couch with a blanket to sit with Lauren. They were cuddled together, Lauren leaning up against Joey as the movie played on and Joey's arms were wrapped around her. They were watching the part where Harry first flies on a broom and Joey looked over. Lauren was asleep, laying up against him and Joey felt himself drifting off to sleep.

Meredith walked out of her room the next morning to grab a glass of water from the kitchen. She opened the cupboard to reach for a glass when something from the living room caught her eye.

It was Joey and Lauren asleep on the couch lying down facing each other and Joey's arms were around Lauren. 

"No way!" Meredith whispered and ran back into the room she was sharing with Brian. He was still asleep, but she jumped on the bed and shook him to wake him up.

Stirring, but not yet opening his eyes, Brian says, "What do you want? I'm sleeping."

"Brian! Joey and Lauren are asleep on the couch cuddling!" she responded and Brian's eyes shot open.

"No way! "he said as he sat up. "I wanna see!" Brian got out of bed and tiptoed out the door, Meredith following closely behind, and peeked into the living room. Sure enough, there they were, asleep.

Brian turned back to Meredith who was giggling and he joined in. Then she pulled his arm back into their bedroom and sat on the bed.

"I can't believe this! I wonder if they kissed last night! By the looks of it, I bet they did," Brian said to Meredith.

"Jaime told me yesterday that Lauren had decided to kiss him at midnight so I bet that's what happened. I should text her and let her know." Meredith took out her phone and sent a text to Jaime.

Lauren and Joey are asleep together on the couch. Brian and I think they finally kissed last night.

It was about 10 minutes later when Jaime woke up and responded.

YOU'RE KIDDING. I'm gonna walk to the stop of the stairs to see.

Meredith heard  door open above her and decided to walk out as well to see Jaime's reaction. When she reached the bottom of the stairs she saw Jaime round the corner. Jame gasped when she saw them and had to cover her mouth with her hand to keep herself from screaming out loud. She made contact with Meredith and mouthed, no way, before disappearing again, probably to go tell Julia.

Joey woke up with Lauren in his arms. He was content just sitting there holding her, but he thought that they should get up before anyone else did so they wouldn't have to answer any questions. He kissed her forehead softly, and she began to stir.
