Just a Simple Touch

It seems like every time I am in the car with Huston it is always dark out, I have to be careful. The thought of that made me laugh lightly to myself. 

"Care to share what's so funny Vally?" Huston asked glancing over at me 

"I think you are planning on killing me, every time I am with you alone it is always dark out" I joke

Huston smirked "You caught me" 

"Haha very funny" I hide my smile and looked back out the window to look a the pitch black darkness outside 

"I am glad you finally came to your senses to come hang out with me" Huston stated 

I shook my head at how cocky he comes off "I should have went home with Maddie" 

"Then why didn't you" Huston asked 

That was a good question, why did I go with him? Is it because I am an idiot or is it because no matter how much he gets on my nerves I am still mesmerized by him? I think it's both.  

"No answer Vally?" He asked intruding my thoughts 

"You never seem to answer anything I ask you" I said 

Huston bit the side of his lips and continued to look at the looked road "Your right" 

I felt myself slowly lean towards him "Why?" 

Huston glanced at me again then back at the road "I rather hear you talk" 

 "I highly doubt that" 

"Explain" 

"Because.." I began "You are cocky" 

Huston let out a powerful laugh "How so ?" 

"You know how, you said it yourself you get what you want" I mocked hoping that comment wasn't true 

Huston shrugged his shoulders "I got you to come with me right ?" 

I felt my jaw dropped to the ground "I can't stand you" I said rolling my eyes at the fact that he was right I have to stop giving in to him 

Huston laughed once again "Why did you want me to come with you today?" 

"I told you I was picking you up from ballet didn't I?" Huston once again glanced over at me 

"Yea but you left my room" 

"So?" 

"You were mad at me" 

Huston huffed switching his other hand on the stirring wheel "I wasn't mad at you" 

"Then why did you leave ?" I asked 

"What you didn't want me to leave ?" He teased 

"Can you just answer the question" I stated 

"Fine, I was just frustrated" He said 

"About what?" 

Huston made a face as if he was holding back something "That somebody else has your heart and I don't" 

I was stunned to what he said, is he joking ? Did he actually mean that ? "Huston.. you don't know me" 

"I can get to know you" 

"True but I think I am getting back together with my ex and me and you.." I paused before I said anything else I wanted to make sure I was sure of what I was saying I didn't want to regret anything I am about to say 

Huston gripped on to the wheel tighter and shifted in his seat "Me and you what Valentina" I could tell he was growing impatient with me, this was actually the first time in a while he has ever called me by my real name
