Just a Simple Touch

Emma, Maddie and I decided to meet at the library to study for Bio this morning. Luckily we don't have classes on Friday's, and  although Maddie is in a different class than Maddie and I she is till learning the same curriculum as us.

"A week of of school has went by and I already feel overwhelmed" Maddie expressed as we sat in a circle table and began opening up our notes and textbooks 

Emma sighed "Me too, I have so many essay to get started on some are even due the same day" 

I was thankful that I didn't feel too overwhelmed with my classes, if anything dance was the most stressful thing to me "Oh Valentina how was your outing with Houston last night?" Maddie asked 

I rolled my eyes at the great night that was ruined by Houston and his controlling ways "I shouldn't have went with him" 

"Ohh so that's why you came back to the room late" Emma said tapping the back of her pen on her notebook 

"Did something go wrong ?" Maddie asked 

"Yes he's way too controlling he thinks he can act and do whatever he wants" I said then turned to Emma "What did you tell him?" I remembered what Houston told me the other day about him and Emma talking about me 

Emma seemed surprised towards my question as if I wasn't suppose to find out "Well he asked if you were single and I said yes but you were still hung up on your ex that's all" 

"It doesn't matter anyways I am not going to see him again" I said

"Speaking of boys" Maddie said beginning to blush "I am going on a date with Caleb tonight" she squealed 

"Oh my god really !" Emma and I said in union

"Yea we have been texting for a few days and he's really cool, I think I am catching feelings for him, but I am taking it slow since we have only met once, tonight I will see how he really is" Maddie explained with a huge smile on her face 

I was happy for Maddie, I know she was excited to see where things go with Caleb and he seems like a nice guy. After we spoke more about Maddie and her date tomorrow we didn't waste anymore time and dove right into our studies. 

We studied together for about two hours and after Maddie and I decided that we should head down to the studio and get some ballet practice done, meanwhile Emma said she will stay here and get some of her other homework done. Maddie and I said bye to Emma and we agreed that we will meet each other at the dance studio we wanted to change into something more comfortable and grab our pointe shoes. On my way back to the dorm room my phone began to ring and when I saw who it was I debated if I should answer or not, but my finger ended up pressing the green bottom on my phone to answer 

"Hi" I said once I placed the phone to my ear 

"Hi Valentina" Alvaro said 

"What's up?" I said awkwardly 

"Did you give our conversation some thought ?" 

Honestly I haven't, but there is nothing to think about I am not quitting ballet for a boy besides how can I give Alvaro all of me when part of me thinks about Huston and the way he can make me feel no matter how much he irritates me.

"Alvaro, I don't know what you want me to say" 

"I want you to say that I won't come second in our relationship" 

I sighed "If we were to get back together you understand that we would be long distance" 

"You are only a few hours away Valentina I could come stay with you over the weekend sometimes" He suggested
