Xtreme Mississippi

We arrived in Jackson, Mississippi, it was a very long flight. I saw a big sign reading welcome to Jackson, Mississippi Alana Richardson. How was I known down here.

"See Lana everyone loves you", Tech said. Then the cameras start coming on us. We took many pictures and they really examined my tattoos.

Then this one man came over and kissed me on my cheek.

"Hey everybody back it up", a man in all black came guiding us.

"Lana this is Tim. He's our new bodyguard while we're down here."

"Its a pleasure to meet you "one of a kind", he said as his kissed my hand.

"Hi, enjoy your stay here", the woman at the hotel lobby said as she gave us our cards to our room.

The rooms were so beautiful. They had my work everywhere. My tattoos I have done and my nail art. The bed was huge, queen size for one person. Everyone knew me for one of a kind.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Who is it"

"Tech"

I let him in and he had a paper in his hand.

"OK Lana the competition starts tomorrow. You have 3 weeks. 1st week is couples week. 2nd is sea world and 3rd is inspirational design of your own creation"

"This is going to be tough", I said holding my head.

"Yep which is why we're practing every night until the competition is over."

"Tech you aren't serious"

"I'm very serious. You gotta work hard."

I had all of my material and utensils with me. My sketch book and my portfolio.

I unpacked all my clothes and I was waiting for Tech to come get me for practice because it was like 9:00pm.

He left me a schedule of what happens. Then I fell asleep.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Someone was banging on the door pretty hard which was really pissing me off. It was 12:00am midnight who could possibly be at the door.

It was Tech.

"What do you want", I yelled opening the door.

"Come on time to practice"

"No I'm not going"

"Yes you are. You wanna be the best, you have to work hard."

"OK you said that earlier", I said grabbing my things. Tech took me to a place where look like all of his art. He has won this competition before and that's why he's my tutor.

"Ok what you going to do is sketch out all of your ideas out for the first week", he said. Then he left the room locking the door.

"Tech what are you doing. "

"I'll be back when you finish"

He was not serious, I looked at the schedule and for the first week was couples week. Themes were romance, valentines, marriage, break ups, and smooches.

What kind of crap was this. I guess smooches were like kisses or something. I sketched many of my ideas and they were nice. It didn't matter because it was whatever the customer wanted. I fixed a couple of my tools for tomorrow.

"Lana are you done", Tech said walking in.

"Yeah check them out", I said handing them to him.

"They are fantastic. Good job for this week", he said giving me a high five.
