Aftermath

Bittersweet..

"What do you mean X got arrested", I asked Shannon.

"We were working and the cops just came and said they had a warrant for his arrest and locked him up. So he told me to call you."

"Well thanks I'll be there soon"

This can't be happening. I just had a very fun time in Orlando and now I have to come back to this.

"What's wrong babe", Jake asked.

"X just got arrested"

We arrived home but I told Jake that he should take the kids home while I go to see X. I arrived and waited for X to come.

"Oh my God Alana"

"X tell me what happened"

He hugged me really tightly and told me to sit down.

"Her dad filed a rape report. They examined her and found bruises and signs of rape. I never hit her. I might me going to jail for a long time"

"I'm going to call you a lawyer, but can they let you out until they find evidence."

"They are not gonna let me go Alana. These people are on my ass. Please get a lawyer ASAP"

"This is really frustrating Xavier this is not good at all."

"Alana I'm so sorry, but I really do think they have the wrong person. "

"I hope they do have they wrong person. Its cool, I have to go. I'll be back again. I'm gonna get you out of here. I love you"

X is one of my best friends and I would hate to see him get locked up for something he didn't do. I made it back to the house and the promoter was there to discuss the grand opening.

"Hi Alana how are you", he asked.

"I'm fine what about you"

"I'm good. I was just talking to Jake about the grand opening tomorrow. Its a perfect time. So how do you feel about that."

"Its perfect. I want to thank you a lot."

"No thank you. I love doing business with you guys. I hope tomorrow will be a success. I have to go see you guys tomorrow"

"So is your friend doing ok", Jake asked.

"Yeah I'm gonna go back tomorrow because I have to call up a lawyer."

"No you're not. We have business to do."

"Jake i know that. I am going. X is my best friend and if he's innocent for something he didn't do I'm going to help him. I'm not going to leave the grand opening."

"How do you know he's innocent. That guy is trouble."

"Maybe to you, but not to me. Xavier is a very good person. You just got to get to know him."

"Alana I don't want to know him, but you're not going"

"Wouldn't you help your close friend if they were in jail."

"Like I said depends on what they did. Everyone is not as kind as they seem to be, plus I don't trust him with you. "

"Fine Jake I won't go"

We woke up and today is the grand opening of A&J World For Children. We are so excited about the opening for today. Jake helped put on the kids clothes.

"Ok you ready babe"

"Yep let's go."

We arrived and there were thousands of people there. This is really great. After a while we all got settled.
