Why Even Bother?

Well I finally decided who I really want to date and it was Scott. Scott and I went on many dates with the kids and we have had very fun and now we're dating, he's my man. We've been dating for 3 months. I was dating Jessie until we got into this huge argument.

JJ always go with Jessie for the weekends so when he was there he talked about Scott a lot which Jessie disliked. He called me up and said some foul things so I got really pissed and hung the phone up.

On the day that he was suppose to bring JJ back we got into a physical altercation where the cops were called and Jessie was taken to jail.

He was released two weeks later and we barely speak. Its pretty much just a hey and bye. I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to me at all. Today Scott, the kids, and I are going out. Besides I really needed to speak to him.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

"Ok JJ you ready"

JJ's 2nd birthday is coming around and he's been very excited. He's turning 2! Plus Halloween is right around the corner. JJ ran out the door and into Scott's arms.

"Hi Scott"

"Hi buddy. How you feeling", Scott asked as he held him.

"Good"

While JJ was outside with Scott, I got Kristie ready. She likes to crawl but really hasn't starting walking so I'm bringing the stroller.

"Are you ready to go baby girl"., I packed her things and left outside.

"Hey babe", Scott said as he planted a kiss on my lips.

"Give me a huge hug", I said. He embraced me. Scott is so tall. I'm 5'4 and he's 6'3, then he picked me up.

"You ready to go"

"Yeah"

We were really just having a nice day in the park.

"I'm gonna get you", Scott said as he chased JJ around the park. I was playing with Kristie.

"Are you gonna walk for mommy", I asked her. She just smiled and start crawling. "Come on Kristie you got it, just walk", I said. I took out my phone and started recording her.

She would get on her feet and walk two steps then fall, but this time that didn't happen. She walked not falling until she was in my arms.

"Oh my God. My baby girl walked.", I shouted kissing her as she smiled, then Scott came over with JJ.

"Good job Kristie", Scott said picking her up and spinning her around. He was very good with the kids.

It was now sunset. Kristie and JJ were playing and having a fun time. Scott and I just sat on the swings holding each others hands.

"So how's everything since Jessie got released"

"Well we really don't speak much. I'm only speaking to him because we have a child together"

"Yeah and that's good. I mean I hate that he treated you that way because that's not how you treat a woman. I love JJ to death and I don't understand why his father disagree with you and me being together", Scott explained.

"I really think that he's being an ass. JJ is starting to notice and understand somethings. Jessie and I can't keep fighting like this. He has his dad in his life but I can tell he wants both parents to be happy"

"Yeah all the other stuff is irrelevant. You should only be focusing on your children and them having a happy life"

"Exactly. JJ is a sweet baby and he tends to get attached to people a lot. Which brings to my attention, like I don't want to keep dating people and these men are coming in and out of our lives"
