… In the Late Afternoon…

.............................

Harmony's POV:

............................

“Louis stop chasing the dog around!” Eleanor whines, will we all laugh at the scene. Louis keeps scaring poor Fog, as the dog tries to scatter away from him. Fog leaps on my lap, burying himself from Louis’s foolery. “Your dog is such a wussy.” Harry snorts beside me, which earns him a swat on his shoulder.

“He has feelings, you know.” I roll my eyes in a light matter, as I begin patting Fog’s fur. A few minutes later, a musical tone vibrates nearby, making Harry stand up to collect his call. “I’ll be right back." He leans down to my sitting level, giving me a peck before walking away. “What have you done to Harry?” Zayn shakes his head, as they all laugh. “I didn’t do anything, why?” I ask, while giving each one a combined look. “We forgot how sentimental he could be. It just feels a little weird for us to see him being this ‘caring’ for someone.”

Liam’s words make me realise the change that occurred to my man’s personality. Was I really able to rearrange the wrong pieces, back to where they belong? “Don’t get me wrong. We really like this new change.” I smile at Liam and the rest, feeling that I have accomplished an impossible evolution with Harry’s personality.

“Harmie, could you come up stairs?” I hear Harry’s voice calling, which makes me carry fog out of my laps; moving upstairs to meet Harry. I walk inside of Harry’s room, but he is nowhere in sight. “Harry?” His voice replies immediately: “In here, baby.” I walk to the bathroom, noticing him now changed; is he going out? “We need to go somewhere.” I furrow my eyebrows, watching him as he wraps his bandana over his head.

“Where?” I ask him in wonder, which makes his face turn from the mirror to me. “I know who broke your glass.” He says cautiously, making my eye widen in the memory of my fear.“How did you find out?” I whisper, reviving the shivers all over my flesh. “Jack wants to see you. (He intertwines his fingers with mine, lifting my hand up to kiss it) I’m scared as much as you are, but please try to see a positive angle out of this?”

His lips scrunch over my palm, placing a moist peck. “What if he beats you up again? What if he wants to beat me up this time? Har-…” He places his index finger over my lips, soothing:“Shhh, don’t say that… I won’t let him lay a finger over you. Just promise me that you will do as I say, and we will be through.”

I nod, surrendering to my destiny. This is what I was terrified of the most; meeting the man behind this dirty job. Meeting the man who bashed Harry, meeting the man who broke my glass along with my secure lifestyle. Why does this have to happen with me? With us? Is it forbidden to be safe with Harry?

Shall we not rest a day without the frightening demon on top of our heads? To come and think of it, I believe it is time for me to show my wit and cleverness. I will have to be so truthful with my lies, even though I never favored deception. But if it is what it takes for both Harry and I to come back here and sleep safely; then I will.

... Arriving At the Destination (In the Elevator)…

“Remember, I won’t be allowed to talk for the both of us. If he asks you, you need to answer. (He notices how I’m a little shaky, so he drapes his arms over my shoulders; bringing me closer to his side) Relax, love. I told you what you need to do, just apply that and you’ll be fine. I’ll be in there with you.” With his final words spoken, he kisses my cheek while the doors of the elevator opens; we’re here.
