Focus

My hands are shaking.
My vision seems to zoom on objects I focus on,
for example
the white board where the teacher
writes the equation.
Everything is nothing,
but a blur.
I see dark figures which I assume
are the people in the room with me.
I can't see them.
They are ghostly shadows surrounding me,
giggling and
whispering.
I can hear my own breathing,
fast and
rigid.
My eyes bounce from the corners of the room,
to the board,
and out the window.
I need to focus on my work,
but they only manage to continue bouncing around the room around me.
I'm trying to focus.
I can't.
I notice everything else
besides the paper in front of me.
What's wrong with me?
Why can't I just. .?
Just breathe. . .
Breathe.
Just. . .
Focus.
