Behind a smile

Part 9~Kaminari

We had arrived at school early, simply as we wanted to confuse people.

I was in control as I sat down and brought out my hero notes. I quickly let Sora take control as he drew a detailed picture of Iida. I smiled as I took control and started to write down my notes. We slowly went through the entire class, writing down everything we knew about them.

Sora was drawing a picture of Todoroki when Momo entered the room. “Morning Sora.” She greeted him as we smiled.

“Morning Momo!” Sora greeted as he finished the picture and let me take back control.

“What are you doing?” Momo asked as I smiled.

“They’re our hero notes, we are filled out the last parts.” I explained as she looked at my notebook.

“Todoroki?” She questioned as I laughed nervously.

“I have everyone… I just have to finish this page.” I explained as Momo flicked through the pages.

“They’re… they’re so detailed.” Momo gasped as she looked over my notes.

“It’s the benefit of seven people working at once.” I stated with a prideful smile. “Everyone has a page and we evaluate everything about them; from strength and weaknesses to quirks and personality. We even evaluate personality.”

“Wow Izuku, how do you know all this?” Momo asked me as we shrugged.

“I just know…” I mumbled as I continued my notes. “People never realise that they do it but everyone does… They shield their weaknesses while bringing out their strengths… even in school life they do it by how they act…” I explained quietly while finishing my page. “I guess we just learnt how to read people really well.”

Momo nodded as she watched us work.

“Izuku, could I talk to Izumi?” Momo asked as I finished my notes.

“Sure!” I answered as Mei took over.

“What’s up Momo?” Mei asked as Momo smiled.

“I need your help. Can the others hear me?” Momo asked as Mei tilted our head.

“Yeah, they can hear you. I could block them but that betrays our trust of each other. If you wish we can talk alone later but not here.” Mei explained as Momo nodded.

“Break?” She asked.

“Sure, class is about to start.” Mei stated as I took control.

“Okay, I’ll talk to you later.” Momo got up and left, going to her chair as Aizawa entered the room.

The lessons weren’t that eventful, the only important thing we learnt was that we were going to the USJ next week.

After we were freed I took Momo to the changing rooms before letting Mei out.

As it was the girl’s room I left and waited outside.

I brought out my notebook and continued to add notes.

“So, Midoriya? When did you and Yaoyorozu get so close?” Kaminari asked startling me as I put him into a shoulder lock.

“Oh! I’m really sorry… you… you startled me…” I apologised as I realised him.

“No, it’s cool but back to my question.” Kaminari nudged me as I gave him a confused look.

“Whatever you are thinking… stop…” I mumbled as I sat back down.

I went back to writing in my notes as Kaminari sat beside me.

“Ooh, who’s this?” Kaminari asked.
