~Mei POV~
"Uraraka, is your arm okay?" I looked over Uraraka, blood coming through her shirt. I stood in front of her, a soft yellow barrier between us and the villain.
"Yeah, it just grazed me."
"Shallow... Not much blood..." The villain held the knife close to her, looking over the blood that she had drawn out of Uraraka. She had messy blond hair pulled into different buns and had a huge mask covering her face.
"That's mean, suddenly coming out slashing at us! Who are you?" Uraraka glared at the villin, trying to act tough but failing a little.
"I'm Toga! You two sure are cute." Toga pointed her blade at us, turning slightly with the movement. "Uraraka and... Izumi..." Toga pointed her knife at each of us in turn.
"She knows our names," Uraraka gasped in shock.
"How do you know my name?"
"Isn't that obvious?" Toga let out an insane laugh as I rolled my eyes.
"The sports festival, right? In any case, she knows who we are, which means we are at a disadvantage," I summeried. Uraraka looked so worried.
"There's not enough blood. Normally, I'd suck it out directly from the cut to get more," Toga reached behind her to pull out some kind of canister with a wire connecting it to her backpack. "But this machine will start sucking if I just stick it in, so my work will progress very quickly." Toga pressed a button on the tube which caused a needle to come out. "I'm sticking it in."
Toga charged forward, faster than possible. I wrapped a chain around Uraraka and threw her away. "Run! Get back to camp! We were given permission to use our Quirks not to defeat the villains but to protect ourselves! That is the kind of person mr. Aizawa is."
"Mei, you too!" Uraraka reached out to me, did she seriously think I wouldn't fight.
"Of course, I will also-" I couldn't finish when Toga charged at me. I tried to dodge to the side, I could feel her cut along my cheek, a small dribble of blood leaking out.
"'Mei'... 'Mei'... 'Mei'...! What a cute nickname. I'm going to call you that, too." Toga pulled down her mouth guard, smiling insanely.
"Don't! The only people I want calling me that are the ones I want to be friends with." I ran forward, jumping to the side when Toga threw her needle device at me. I wasn't fast enough as I found myself being pinned to a tree by my shirt.
"Yay, then I'm your friend, too! All right!" Toga jumped up like an excited child.
"Mei!" Uraraka ran forward as Toga leaned in close to me.
"You're bleeding, my friend, Mei. You're so cute. I love blood," Toga sand in a sing-song fashion.
"Get away from her!" Uraraka ran forward, jumping to the side as Toga tried to cut her but served a few of her hair strands. Uraraka grabbed Toga's hand and the back of her neck. She pulled and spun on her foot, pushing Toga into the ground and pinning her to the ground.
"That was amazing, Uraraka!"
"Mei, can you restrain her hands with your chains?" I nodded, making some light chain around Toga's body and holding her still. "Does your cheek here?"
"Only a little. I can heal it though."
"Uraraka... You're wonderful, too. You've got the same smell as me. There's someone you like, right? And you feel like you want to be like that person, right? I can tell. 'Cause you're a maiden like me," Toga teased with a crazed smile.
I felt myself wondering who Uraraka liked but I forced myself to focus on the situation. Not the time to think about that.
"You want to be the same as the person you like, right? It's only natural, right? You end up wearing the same thing and stuff.... But eventually, not even that's enough... You end up wanting to become that person, right? It can't be helped, right? What kind of person do you like? I love people who are beat up and smell like blood! That's why in the end, I always cut them up! Hey, Uraraka, you're having fun, right? It's fun talking about our crushes, right?" Toga pulled her hand up to stab into Uraraka's leg.
"Uraraka!"
Blood came out of Uraraka's leg and went down the tube, red colour following the pipe. "Suck, suck... Suck, suck... Suck, suck... Suck, suck... Suck, suck..." Uraraka's grip started to falter. she was getting weaker.
"Uraraka! Let her go!" I sent a chain to hit Toga across the face, making her jump off to the side.
"Shoot...!"
Uraraka got up, stumbling slightly. She came to my side and pulled the knife out of my shirt and let me fall to the ground.
Toga didn't seem too happy as she turned to me. She charged once again, but this time I threw Uraraka to the side. I created a barrier around me, her needle getting stuck in the light. Toga tried to pull it out but it ended up snapping in half. I let down the shield, smiling smugly.
"You will have to try harder than that to kill me," I stated, moving my feet into an attacking stance.
"I think there might be an easier way to cut you." Toga turned to throw a different needle at Uraraka.
I'm not quite sure what happened next, I couldn't let Toga hurt Uraraka. Light surrounded the area and it became impossible to move. Like the light was paralysing everything.
When it disappeared, Toga looked at me, her needle thing on the floor. "What was that?"
"A paralysing part of my Quirk, and if you don't leave now, I'll do it again and hold it until help comes," I buffed. Honestly I had no idea how to do that and probably won't be able to do it again.
Toga seemed to buy it though as she turned away and ran off.
"That was amazing Mei!" Uraraka ran to my side as I stumbled a bit. I smiled happily when she caught me and lowered me to the ground.
I wasn't sure what to do, or say, when a sharp pain split my skull. I couldn't stop the scream ripping through my throat.
At least Uraraka was safe.
