~Jack POV~
Koda was being annoying, we were told we could fight so why couldn't I fight?! He kept saying how we should head back but I was not listening. My siblings were out there and I was going to help them.
"Just shut up! You're annoying me. Go back to camp if you so want to but I am going to find the source of this fire!" I stormed away, heading deeper into the forest and following the blue flames.
Koda tried to stop me but I pushed him aside. I was going to help my sibling. I got rid of the fires on my way. It was easy by pushing the oxygen away from the flames and starving them of it.
Stopping, I held out my hand to stop Koda from walking forward. "Something is here."
Making a scythe, I steadied myself. Koda looked terrified, he should have gone back.
"Who is there?! Come out now!"
Jumping back, I dodged the fire that stormed towards us. I rolled down and got up, swiping my scythe at the villain with black hair, easily cutting him in half.
"You killed him?!" Koda looked horrified at the prospect of me killing someone.
Did he really think that little of me?! "Oh course not," I snapped simply. "It must be a Quirk, letting him move around when he is hurt, but the way the body fell apart, it's more like clay. More likely to be a copying Quirk to give the user a copy of their own body. From the fire I would guess it's not his, but someone else's."
Koda looked shocked that I was able to deduce that so easily. I was probably more clear than most the class so why did they think so little of me.
"Come on, I'm going to find him again." I started storming away and went deeper into the forest.
It didn't take long to find another copy. I swung my scythe and cut him directly in half. Over and over, the copies came and I destroyed them.
As more and more showed up, Koda became less afraid of me but still was terrified. "How can you know they are clones? You could kill the real one."
"I can feel it. The clones, they feel different to you and the rest of humanity. Like it's not real. I can tell you right now exactly how many cells are in your body. How many atoms there are. How many protons and electrons there are. I always know because that is what my Quirk is. It lets me control every atom in the world and I always know what atoms are around me," I explained, looking into my hand and moving the atoms around to create sparkles in the air.
Koda looked a little shocked at how calm I was. "I didn't know that."
"Of course you fucking didn't! No one knows. I don't see people, I see atoms and if Izu knew how I saw things, he would worry and he isn't meant to worry," I snapped. it was fine for those fucking people, they get a good life without the constant reminder of how everything can be pulled apart in a second.
I pushed Koda to the side, making him scream in shock before stopping the fire that came to us. I smirked when I spotted the two villains standing next to each other. They were proper, I could sense their blood, the iron in their system. They were the real deal.
"Finally! Played enough hide and seek, have we?! Come on then! Let's see what you've got!" I charged forward, throwing my scythe downwards and digging it into the ground.
The villain dodged to the side and sent some more fire at me but I built up a wall of carbon dioxide that stopped it in its tracks.
"Be careful Dabi!" The other villain looked a little panicked as he shouted at who I assume is called Dabi.
Dabi tutted before sending more fire at me. I easily dodged this time before throwing a dagger at Dabi who jumped to the side. The dagger embedded itself into the tree by the other one who jumped in shock.
I tried to hit him again but he fired at me and hit me in the chest. I gasped a little, pressing against the burn. I heard Koda shout something to the birds as they flocked around the two villains. Koda helped me up but I pushed him away.
"Don't try and help me! I'm missing something. What am I missing?" I rubbed against my head. I was being an idiot but about what. Dabi tried to hit me again but I dodged to the side, catching a glance of Twice out of the corner of my eye. That's what I was missing. "Why isn't he fighting?"
Dabi charged at me, sending fire to my side to stop me dodging. I felt him punch my jaw but it didn't break. I created a knife and sliced up, cutting his cheek but not catching the silver rings. Dabi jumped away as I took a more offensive stance.
I charged, but instead of attacking Dabi, I went for the other. There must be a reason for why he is here. Dabi tried to stop me, but I vaulted over him using my scythe and continued to run at the other.
They didn't seem to know what to do, as they panicked and threw their hands up. I swung forward to attack them but stopped when I noticed they weren't dodging. I let my scythe curl around their neck and push against their skin, drawing a very small dribble of blood.
"No one moves, or they die." I tilted my head at the villian, smirking when Dabi stopped and stood still. "Great, now, tell me what you want."
"You don't know? We are here to destroy your ideas," Dabi snarled.
"How are you going to do that?"
"By killing you and taking some to convert."
"Who? Who are you going to take?"
"Bakugo is one. Midoriya, the real Midoriya, is the other."
Before I could say anything else, I felt fingers brush against my skin and pain go up my spine. Is this his Quirk?
