Soft beeps sounded around the room as Aizawa woke up. His arms wrapped in heavy bandages along with the rest of him. He was alone in the room, unable to move. He was left alone to think.

He remembered watching helplessly as Midoriya’s face peeled apart and collapsed beneath the horrid hand. He remembered Snipe shooting the villain causing him to release the student as Recovery Girl tried to save him. He remembered the panic and the darkness, but what he remembered most was the smile that plagued Midoriya’s face as it peeled away.

He wasn‘t afraid; or sad; or happy. He looked almost at peace, as if he was just glad to have lived that long in the first place.

It haunted him to think that the problem child of class 1A could think that way.

Nezu sat as quietly as the girl opposite him. He didn’t know what to do, what to say to the girl who while looked so young, he knew had gone through so much.

The words felt bitter to his tongue as he spoke them. Like a knife he plunged deep into her chest and filled her with disappear.

She had lost her birth parents- died before she could remember them- then she lost her father, killed in front of her, now, she’s losing her siblings.

She refused to believe the words, she couldn’t believe the words as she ordered the ‘mouse’ to take her to her siblings’ side.

They can’t have died after everything they went through to get this far, but she knew they wouldn’t have minded.

It made her despair to think about her siblings in that way but she knew it was true.

The class was silent. No one dared say anything, they knew the story- even if the teachers tried to stop it spreading.

Tsu and Mineta where by his side throughout the event.  Todoroki and Kirishima had arrived in time to watch it take place. And Bakugo, well despite everyone’s expectations, was the first to act and the one who brought him to Recovery girl; he had held the dying body and seen the peace on the boy’s face. He hated it. He knew that Midoriya had gone through something awful, but never knew anything.

He should know! He should have been there all the time, to stop stuff like this from happening. But he wasn’t and now his childhood friend was in the other room with the best doctors possible trying to grasp onto little bit of life. Bakugo growled and snarled at himself, punching the wall in the corner, bloodying the wall and his fist.

Still no one dared to speak. How could they when that had happened?

Slowly, Recovery girl walked into the room with a grave expression. The teachers, the class and the family shot up at her entrance, hoping she wouldn’t announce the news they knew was to come.

“Midoriya has gone into a medically induced coma, he is stable for now, but will need to stay under close observation.” She announced as shock sounded around the room and relief filled most the occupants.

“They,” Yuta growled while glaring at the old lady.

The teachers weren’t surprised that she corrected them but the venom behind the growl startled everyone in the room.

“Yuta, clam, I am sure Recovery girl did not mean to offend you.” Yaoyorozu spoke softly as Yuta took a few deep breaths.

“May I see them?” Yuta asked quietly as Recovery gril nodded and stood aside.

She didn’t wait as she left to find her siblings, Yaoyorozu following close behind.

Midoriya lied on the bed like a ghost His face was wrapped tightly in heavy bandages. His arms were laid gently on top of the sheets, showing his old scars, his right arm had a long cord attached to the IV bag.
