"Fangs! You can't do that."
Emma called out while the serpent rolled his eyes at her. This was the third time he had broken the rules by giving Sweet Pea a verbal hint during their game of Charades.
Standing in the front of the room, Fangs pointed to Sweet Pea as he sat on the loveseat next to Toni. "Well, how is he suppose to know the answer is Michael Jackson, Emma?"
"I mean you could've done the moon walk." Toni added. Emma nodded and pointed at her partner in agreement.
The four spent their last day of holiday break in Toni's trailer for a game/movie night. Emma had returned from Maine earlier that morning, to arrive at Archie's impromptu bachelor pad. Fred was out of town for business until tomorrow and Archie wanted the house to him and Veronica for the evening.
Archie wanted to surprised Veronica with dinner, and since Archie had the cooking capabilities of a light post according to Emma, she cooked and let him take the credit.
Now, Emma stood in the kitchen area kneading the cookie dough overseeing the game during the boys' turn.
Her voice became audible once again and a small smirk spread across her lips. "Look, I get that Sweet Pea isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but I think even his dense mind can grasp that."
Toni laughed while Fangs snorted at her comment. Two things were clear: Emma was good at delivering her witty insults on the fly and Sweet Pea always shot back just as quickly.
"Don't you have cookies to make, Betty Crocker?" Sweet Pea retorted.
Emma quickly washed her hands and narrowed her eyes. "Yes and last time I checked you were on dish duty, so get to it, Beanstalk."
She grabbed the bowl she was using and held it up before laying yet another dish down into the sink.
"All bark, no bite. It's like dealing with an untrained puppy." He said looking at the other two friends who knew that once the banter began it didn't stop until someone was shut down by the other.
Yet, most of the time it was pretty comical to watch.
Sweet Pea stood up and walked towards the kitchen while Emma shoved her gloves back on, "I am literally the same height as Toni. What did I tell you about calling me small?"
The raven-haired boy smirked and walked behind her on his way to the sink. He leaned down towards her ear as she cleaned up the area around her and spoke in a low taunting voice, "I don't know, princess, I couldn't hear you from up here."
Emma sucked her teeth and shook her head at him. She had no response to his snide remark knowing that one of them always silently won their quick insult war.
Sweet Pea noticed the cookies were all laid out and most of the dishes were dry. He looked at the kitchen and noticed that it was more organized that Toni's slightly chaotic living habits.
"Did you clean and bake?" He looked at her oddly. Emma simply shrugged and grabbed a paper towel, "I can't focus if it's messy."
He inhaled and moved towards the sink to clean the few dishes left in the sink. "Well, you can always play house at my place." He winked at her as he turned on the faucet.
Emma's head snapped and threw her wadded up paper towel at him and laughed. "You really need to get laid already."
The two continued cleaning making light conversation when Toni made her way over towards the two.
"I'm picking tonight!" Fangs called out flipping through Toni's movie collection. Sweet Pea internally groaned hating his taste in movies.
The pink-haired girl rounded the corner and leaned against the kitchen counter near Emma. "Antoinette, can I help you with something?" The strawberry-blonde mused while handing cup for Sweet Pea to wash.
