Brittany's POV
Sam is picking me up in a half hour and I just finished my homework. I put on my dark denim skinny jeans, light brown riding boots, a multi colored sweater that had a random design on it, and a cream scarf. I re apllied my makeup and threw my hair up into a messy but cute bun.
Sam texted that he was here so I grabbed my purse and my phone and walked outside. I hopped into his car and smiled at him. He was wearing black pants, a white t shirt, and a black jacket.
"I thought for a while you weren't going to even come out." he said nervously
"To be honest I was thinking that but everybody keeps telling me I have to get back to normal. And us being together is normal." I said
"Well I thought we could go out to eat first then go watch the movie. Sound good to you?" he asked. I nodded my head as he continued to drive
We pulled into the AppleBee's parking lot and got out.
"Is this place good? I have never eaten here before." I said as we stepped inside
"Yeah you loved it here. You used to want to come here all the time when I would take you out to eat." he explained to me as we sat down in a booth
"Well what did I normally order than?" I asked him
"The parmasian chicken with noodles that had alfredo sauce on them with a coke." he said smiling proudly
"Well I will just order that than." I said as the waitor came and took our orders
"Did I tell you a lot about my old life when we were dating?" I asked him breaking the silence
"Yeah you did. I got pretty much your whole life story." he said
"Even about my past boyfriends?" I asked confused
"Yeah you said you dated a few guys here and there but they never really worked out." he replied taking a sip of his drink
"I never told you about Andrew?" I asked shocked
"No the only guy you ever mentioned was Brian." he said now sounding confused
"Well I apologize for that. I dated Andrew for almost two years. Brian was the guy I had a thing with before moving here I guess." I explained to him
"Well why did you and Andrew break up then?" he asked
"Well he smoked weed a lot. I didn't mind it but it started to effect our relationship. He would choose to smoke weed with his friends over spending time with me. He never said I love you to me anymore and he started flirting with other girls. He was the first real guy I was in love with. I miss him somedays but the breakup was messy." I explained to them
He sat there silent for a while as our food came. He seemed angry then just sad.
"So what movie are we seeing?" I asked trying to change the subject
"It is the new hick flick that is out. I know how much you like chick flicks." he mumbled
"Yeah I do. You know I have good tatse for going out with someone as sweet and caring as you." I said patting his hand. He smiled and winked at me.
The movie was good. It was your typical chick flick but I loved every minute of it. Now we are just out in the middle of town on a little walk.
"Here take my jacket you seem cold." he said giving me it
"Thanks. And thanks for taking me out tonight I had fun." I said smiling up at him
"Good I had fun too." he said
"Oh please admit it you hated that movie. You were practically snoring during it." I said laughing making him laugh too
"I like some chick flicks but that one was way too cheesy for me." he said still laughing
"Excuse me love stories are amazing. And nobody says cheesy anymore." I said giggling
We both stopped and stood and looked at each other. His eyes wandered from mine down to my lips back up to my eyes again.
"Um we should probaly get back it is a school night." I said handing him back his jacket. He nodded and put his arm around me as we walked back to the car.
We were singing along to Taylor Swift's Shake it Off as we pulled into my driveway. There was a lot of people standing in it though. Both Sam and I were confused and got out of the car.
"Grace?!" I asked when I saw my best friend. We both shrieked as she ran up and hugged me.
"I've missed you so much. And I am happy you are ok." she said keeping her arm around me
"Wow your mom is here too. And Andrew?" I asked confused
My ex boyfriend turned around and gave me his signature smirk. I looked from him to Sam and saw the anger on Sam's face. This is not going to be good I thought
