Brittany's POV
I can't believe summer is over and my first day of senior year is today. I woke up early so I would have time to get ready. I went into the bathroom and parted my hair to the side and crimped it. I applied foundation, light colored eyeshadow, top eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. I put on my ripped denim skinny jeans, maroon vans, and maroon tank top that had a black and white pocket on it. I grabbed my phone, purse, and bookbag and walked downstairs.
I was blinded by a million flashes going off as I was coming down the steps.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked confused covering my face
"Hey this is your last year of high school. We want to get all the pictures we can get." my dad said still taking pictures of me
"If I pose for a couple for you will you please stop?" I asked and they smiled and nodded their heads. I posed for a couple before sitting down and eating breakfast.
"You are going to have so much fun! I can sense it." my mom said rubbing my back gently
"Yeah me too. I just hope I don't get lost." I said finishing up my waffles
"Don't worry you won't. But if anybody tries to tell you the pool is on the roof don't listen to them." my dad said winking
Mallory pulled up a couple minutes later and I said goodbye to my parents and walked out the door. Mallory's hair was in curls and she had on her normal amount of makeup. She was wearing a white tank top, tan colored jeans, and white converse.
"You look cute." she said as she began to drive
"Thanks so do you. Can't believe school is already starting." I said shaking my head
"I know it is crazy right? I can't believe you and Sam have already been dating for a month and a half and you have been here for over two months." she said as we pulled into school
"Oh God I think I am going to be sick." I said seeing all the kids outside
"Hey trust me everything is going to be fine. Stick with me we have the same schedule remember?" she asked laughing at me. I got my stuff out of her car and followed her inside. A lot of people said hi to her and she led me to our lockers which we right next to eachother's.
I herd all these girls start to freakout and a lot of the guys were high fiving him. I looked over to see Sam walking down the hallway wearing black vans, dark red skinny jeans, and a black t shirt.
He spotted me and I expected him to come over but all he did was smile and give me the head nod thing that guys do.
"What the fuck." I said outloud
"Oh no he did not just do that to you. Come on lets go to homeroom." Mallory said grabbing my hand
My morning classes have gone by really well so far. I like all my teachers and new friends that I am making. Now it is time for lunch.
"The cafteria food actually isn't that bad. So I normally buy half the week and pack half the week." Laine was explaining to me
I nodded and followed them up to the line. I saw Sam sitting with Mack, Brock, Jack G, Jack J, Big Mike, Josh, and Luke. He hasn't said one word to me all day.
After we bought our lunch we sat down and started eating.
"Look Britt you didn't do anything wrong. He always acts like a douche the first day of school. It is sort of his thing. Don't worry about it too much." Marie said to me smiling gently
"Well it shouldn't be his thing is all I am going to say." I said rolling my eyes
The last class of the day was science. I sat down where my namecard said it was. Sam came in and sat down next to me because his namecard was next to mine.
"Hey beautiful." he greeted smiling at me. I glared at him as the teacher came in and started talking.
"Are you mad at me?" he whispered. I just continued to ignore him.
"Britt what did I do?" he asked now getting frustrated
The final bell finally rang and I quickly grabbed my stuff and walked to my locker. Mallory couldn't give me a ride home from school today because she has an open gym for the basketball team. So I am walking home. I grabbed all my stuff and began to make my way outside when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Why arn't you talking to me?" Sam asked
"I don't know you tell me." I said crossing my arms over my chest
"Sam you havn't said one word to me at all today except the fucking last period of the day. Do you know how that makes me feel? It makes me feel shitty." I said getting arngier by the minute
"Babe I told you I am new to all this relationship stuff ok? I have an image to keep up and being a douche on the first day of school is part of my image." he said back
"Well I thought since my boyfriend knew how nervous I was for my first day that he would of least gone out of his way to help me. But I guess not since he is too concerned about his stupid image. And by the way all this not knowing what to do shit is really getting old." I said begining to walk away
"Well I'm sorry that I didn't say hi to you this morning. Didn't know I had to report to you." he said
"Go fuck yourself asshole." was all I said to him before storming off on my way home
I walked through the door expecting somebody to be home but nobody was. I got myself a snack and started organizing all my books since all the classes really start tomorrow. After that I watched tv for a little bit and texted Mallory. I decided on making myself some chicken nuggets and fries that are in the freezer.
After dinner Marie called me to make sure I was ok after today. After hanging up with her I decided on getting a shower. I grabbed my pjs out and was about to walk into the bathroom when I herd a thud from outside my window. I walked out onto my balcony to see Sam trying to climb up.
"What do you think you are doing?" I yelled down to him
"Trying to come up but this is harder than it looks. How do they do this in the movies?" he asked finally making it to the top
"I guess they have muscles." I said crossing my arms at him as he climbed onto the balcony
"Wow cheap shot. That one hurt." he said chuckling
"I'm not amused." I said glaring at him
"I know that's why I brought you these." he said wiping out a bouqet of flowers from behind his back.
"Look I know what I did to you today was bad. I was only thinking about myself and I am sorry. I want the whole school hell the whole world to know you are my girlfriend. So starting tomorrow I am going to actually stat acting like a good boyfriend." he said
"Come here you big fat idiot." I said pulling him into a hug
"I know you have never been in a serious relationship before but you have to know that it is two sided not just one." I said
"I know that now. I just get nervous about this stuff because I really like you." he said kissing me
"I really like you too. Thank you for the flowers they are beautiful." I said smelling them
"Oh no problem. I picked them from somebody's garden anyway." he said smirking. I elbowed him and laughed.
"You know my parents arn't home you could have just used the front door." I said giggling
"Eh I wanted to try and be romantic for once. How did it work out?" he asked coming closer to me
"Pretty good I would say." I said smiling up at him before he crashed his lips to mine
