I had been very careful to wear trousers whenever I left my room, which was rarely, for the next few days. Hiding what I had done to myself. After finding out about the bet the brothers had made I hadn't gone near any of the Mikaelsons except Rebekah, since the night I was attacked and Klaus had saved me.

Their betrayel had hurt, they were acting as though they were part of a competition and I was their prize. It had especially hurt that both Finn and Elijah had been a part of the wager, they had convinced me that they genuinely cared. I expected something of the sorts from Klaus or Kol but not them.

Rebekah had insisted she had no idea about it and eventually I believed her. She had been coming to my room every night with my dinner and would stay with me to cheesy rom coms. Even though sometimes she would catch me off guard I had managed to keep her from seeing what I had done to myself.

However tonight was different.

I watched all of the Mikaelson siblings, including Rebekah, leave the house. It was the first time they had left me alone, perhaps they thought I wouldn't notice theit absence. I was wearing shorts and a camisole so i briefly considered changing but thought there was no point considering no one was going to be there to see.

I opened my door and pattered down to the kitchen, Rebekah hadn't brought me my evening meal before she left and my stomach had started turning with hunger. I began to cook up a spaghetti bolognese for one, remembering the recipe from when my mother was teaching me how to cook.

I sat on the kitchen island as the sauce and pasta cooked, and my mind began to wander to the friends and family I had left behind. I could imagine them all in the Salvatore Bording House, scattered in the living room as they devised a plan to save me. The thought caused me to smile, although it was short lived. I couldn't help but worry about the consequences they would face if they attemped to rescue me. Would they be killed? Or compelled to forget her existence?

She was so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't heard the front door open or the sound of footsteps approaching. It was only when loud laughing pierced her ears.

Her head turned to the door, her eyes wide in panic. They were going to see, they were going to punish her. She quickly pulled on an apron, it reached her knees thankfully and turned her attention to her now burning food.

"What is that bloody awful smell?" She heard an English accent shout as the door swung open. She didn't turn to see who had entered, already knowing all of the siblings would follow straight behind.

She looked at the food, a frown on her face. The food had been ruined. She sighed and tipped the burnt food filled pan in the bin before placing it in the sink. She then turned around, noticing the silence. They were all staring at her in surprise and she noted the blood spots covering their clothes. They had been feeding.

No one spoke for a moment until Klaus decided to break the awkward silence. "So love, you finally decided to leave that hole of yours? Will you be joining us for a drink to celebrate?"

Her eyebrows knitted togethere in confusion and she looked at the other siblings for an explanation but saw that none of them could meet her eyes and Finn looked terribly guilty.

"Celebrate what?" She finally asked.

"The killing of a Salvatore brother, of course!"
