Chapter 14

Lily's POV

I was with Jack in the kitchen making popcorn, I decided I liked these boys they had certainly made me laugh enough times. They were so hilariously random and got on so well with Tom, I felt so welcome as well they just accepted that I was friends with Tom and Will. Jack and I were lounging by the microwave watching and listening to the popping. For the past few seconds I could see him pulling at faces at me making them increasingly longer. At the latest long one I whipped round and pulled one at him, he laughed "Haha! I like you Lily, you're good for Tom! When you getting together?" And raised his eyebrow. I blushed and said "Oh no, we aren't getting together just friends." Jack just looked me in the eyes "But you'd want to be more?" I could tell he was serious "I mean Chris and I have seen that you've changed him he's devoted to you." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, that there was the slightest possibility that Tom liked me maybe a tiny portion of what I felt for him. I heard myself take a gasp and looking into Jack's expectant eyes I saw he could see how I felt for Tom but before I could say anything the microwave pinged and I yanked the door open put the popcorn in the bowl and shot out in the room before Jack could see more of the truth in my eyes.

I returned to my place on the sofa where Will and I were doing heads and tails, with Chris on the opposite armchair, Jack on the floor by Will's head and Tom on the floor by me. I leaned in and put the popcorn on the floor and saw Tom looking at me out of the corner of his eye. Jack wiggled his eyebrows at me with a cheeky grin and I just rolled my eyes back. After the end of the first film Will flicked the lights back on and everyone stretched and stood up. Chris said "Any ideas on what to do now?" I glanced around and noticed Jack had a wicked look in his eyes "Truth or Dares!" He said looking satisfied with himself. I gasped and said "Uh oh! No! You'll all make me do something I won't like!" They laughed but Tom said "Lily I won't let them" with a smile, I smiled back genuinely grateful and Chris and Jack made kissing faces behind his back I just sat down with a sigh resigning myself to the game.

They all joined me in a circle and Chris volunteered to go first and Tom said "I got one! Chris what are you most embarrassed about?" He looked triumphant as Chris blushed and muttered "Haha Tom, thanks. When I was 15 my speedos slipped off when I dived into the pool." We all cackled with laughter almost in disbelief, but I was genuinely worried at the same time "Did you manage to get them back on?" He nodded and said "Yeah but everyone heard what had happened..." I giggled. I was scared they'd make me go next but Jack had already requested a dare so we dared him to upload a picture of him in a bra onto Instagram and Twitter. Which of course he did with no shame, we all retweeted and liked much to Jacks delight and he paraded around a bit still in the bra oblivious to Tom filming. He stopped and still didn't notice Tom but Tom just put his finger to his lips and winked I stifled another round of giggling and winked back. "Who's next then?" I asked innocently and they all turned and said "You!" To my horror they insisted on doing this "properly" and made me go out the room, I pressed my ear up against the door but all I could hear was mutterings suddenly I heard them all laugh and Tom give a sharp "That's awful! She'll hate that!" But I could hear him laughing too. By now I was pretty much terrified of what they were going to dare me to do but they ushered me back in and I saw Tom blushing... Ok now I'm scared. Will was red in the face from laughing and he said in between gasps of air "Lily your dare...is to...oh I can't! Jack you say it!" He collapsed and Jack said "My pleasure, you are to make out with Tom for a timed two minutes!" And he too collapsed. That was why Tom was blushing apologetically but I didn't mind kissing Tom at all but I wasn't going to let then know that. I sighed and pretended to be indifferent but I could see Tom knew what I was thinking.... He was thinking the same.

Chris got his watch ready, Tom and I were close now and Jack solemnly started the countdown "3-2-1 GO!!" Tom leaned in first and as much as I wanted to press my body to his and lean in closer I didn't want to seem too eager or let on that we'd down it before. We started slowly and soon forgot that we were being timed or it was a dare, I shifted forwards and he wrapped his arms around me as I did the same. His tongue gently touched the bottom of my lip and my mouth opened almost as an instinct and we explored each others mouths. My hands knotted in his hair twisting it gently and his were on my back and waist holding me tightly. Finally after a few blissful minutes I heard Will, Chris and Jack clearing their throats awkwardly.
