Chapter 28

We had come back from swimming all exhausted and were lolling on sofas in the living room flicking through Australian tv. I was sat next to Monique "How are you Lily?" She asked with a smile "Very well thank you, and you?" I smiled back "Good!" She said "So nice to be in hot weather!" "I know!" I agreed with a nod. "So I've seen your diving, it's quite exceptional seeing as you just started!" I blushed ever so slightly "It's amazing I love it so much and thank you! I just want to get better and better!" She gave me a small smile "How about I give you a few lessons without the others knowing? You could then shock them with an incredible dive!" I stifled a laugh as Tom was at my feet "Would you? Oh that would be brilliant!" She gave a grin "It'd be my pleasure I'd love to see their expressions!" We shared a confidential wink when Tom turned and said "You ok Lils?"

After a while Clare stood up and said "Right kids... Well you're not really kids but anyway! Us adults need to do some planning and most the adult divers want to stay and relax so... We don't really want you're, uh, exuberence." I grinned to myself, I could only imagine what this lot could get up to given the chance. "So-" Clare continued "We'll give some money and you can go out for dinner, we can trust you to act sensibly just don't go anywhere on your own ok?" The others filed out to their room to get ready and the adults went their separate ways too. That left just me and Tom in the sitting room. He snuck up onto the sofa and flopped across the arm "So Lily," he started "Do you fancy going to dinner together?" He blushed and I felt my cheeks doing the same "Of course! Shall we go before the rabble get back?" He grinned with a nod grabbed my hand and we ran out the door. I shot a text to Tonia saying "T and I gone already see you later :) xxx" then diverted my full attention to Tom...

We walked hand in hand at a fast pace to avoid the others to a little restaurant Tom knew from last time. He led me into a slightly busy, warm restaurant where a waiter led us to a table and we sat down. "So!" I said "Busy few days huh?" He laughed "I know right? Still so excited you're here though Lilykins!" I smiled and felt very warm and happy in my midriff "Me too! I love it already and I can't wait to watch you lot all dive!" "I can't wait for you to see me dive properly," he said "You're so lovely to have around Lily, honestly you're like a constant smiley assistant who also is a best friend, dancer, physio and a little diver!" I blushed and said "You flatter me! But I love diving so much I literally can't get enough of it!" I nodded enthusiastically "That's exactly how I feel! I wish there was something you could teach me?" I raised an eyebrow "What? That you can't already do show off!" He looked a bit sheepish but then an idea dawned on me "Oh I have an idea..." He instantly looked suspicious ""What? I know you well enough not to trust that grin!" I just grinned wider and said "Oh you do! Well Tom I will teach you ballet!" His face looked aghast "You wouldn't dare!" He half whispered, "Oh I would!" I retorted "Even if I have to black mail you!" His mouth popped open in shock and it was all I could do to stop myself crying from laughing too much...
