Chapter 23

Tom's POV

"So what did you want to say to me?" Lily asked. I had lost my nerve, I couldn't give her the thing in my pocket and I couldn't tell her I loved her she'd freak out and make me look stupid and also it would ruin the trip... No I mustn't say anything. "Oh nothing, how are you!?" She giggled "Fine! And you?" I smiled back with an arm hooked round her waist "Brilliant!" I led her away and stopped short when I saw a little pink shop "Moo-Moos!" I said excitedly in response to her questioning inquisitive look, she only looked more puzzled in response "You've never had a moo-moos?" I said surprised, "No, what is it?" She asked delightfully, I grabbed her hand and towed her in "You'll see! I can't believe they have them in Hong Kong!" I led her into the little pink shop and saw her confused frown deepen when she saw the counter with all the names, "Here you will have the must amazing milkshake of your life... Just don't tell Andy I'm having one, I'm probably not meant to." She gave another delightful laugh and said "So what do I do?" "Just choose what you'd like in it..." I said and added "My favourites are jelly baby and Oreo!" She smiled and said "Well if I get a jelly baby and you get an Oreo, we can share!" I boldly kissed the tip of her nose to her surprise and relayed the order to the cashier. A few minutes later I had snatched the two cartons speed walked outside onto the nearest chairs with a bemused Lily following in my wake. I gestured for her to sit down next to me and as she did I whipped out my phone saying as I began to record "This is a historic occasion, Lily is about to try her first Moo-Moos! I'm really excited but she thinks I'm mental" and I continued to film as she laughed and then I passed her the jelly baby one first and said "Go on Lils!" She hesitantly took a sip and then her face broke "Ahh give me more!" I laughed as she wriggled with delight, "Now the Oreo one!" I said and swapped taking a sip of the jelly baby one again she loved it and I ended the filming. "Do you mind if I upload it to keek?" I said as she greedily sipped down more "Yeah cool!" She said taking a break from the Oreo as she swapped with me "I always meant to get keek but never got round to it... Is it worth it?" I nodded "Yep, I could help you set up an account now if you like... We have hours left!" She nodded and scooted over closer pulling out her phone. For the next few minutes we sat and fiddled to get her a keek account then once it was done and her profile picture was one of her and me sticking our tongues out she thanked me and said "And now for my first keek," she started to record, "Hi this is my first keek! I'm here at the airport with Tom." and I saw her swivel the camera towards me a I waved "-and I dare you Tom to plank over there by the Japanese underwear shop." I groaned but she looked so determined and happy I had to obey "Your wish is my command!" I said with a mock bow and walked towards the shop I could hear her tinkling laughter even as I walked away, I gave a mock salute and lowered myself to the ground. Lily was now laughing uncontrollably from what I could hear and after about 10 seconds I raised my head to see that and ring had formed round me and I was getting some odd looks but I soon caught a hysterical Lily's eye and I felt the laughter bubble out of me too, and I joined her as we sank back on the seats crying with laughter. I pulled her up a bit later "Come on my little trouble making diving ballerina lets go find the others!" After about 15 of walking and looking we found them just leaving the sandwich bar and waved, walking over. I felt Tonia say "Tommy can I have a word?" and I turned to link my arm in hers and walk away from the group a bit. "Do you like Lily?" She said a little bluntly but with a smile "Yeah," I replied "She's an amazing friend: funny, pretty, clever likeable-" "Duh Tom!" She cut me off a little exasperated "Everyone thinks that! I mean do you like her more than that? And don't you dare lie, wait! You're already blushing you do!! Aw yay!" Uh oh I didn't know it was that obvious although the boys joked about it... "Please don't tell anyone Tonny?" I pleaded "It would be so awkward! And I'm sure she doesn't like me that way!" Tonia just raised an eyebrow and said "Fine but I'm not so sure..."
