Devil Town - Cavetown

Chapter 3

April 15, 1998
Me and Lilith were at school talking about our favourite seasons today. I told her that mine is winter, because its colder in the summertime here in Dewsbury. Lilith said that her favourite season was spring, because of all the flowers and butterflies. Also this weird thing happened to me at school. It was a normal class and all of a sudden I started feeling scared, anxious, like I was not enough for anything or anyone and thats why my dad hates me. But Lilith saw that something was wrong at took my hand tight. It helped.

While we were going back home from school we saw an abandoned skateboard. Lilith emmidately wanted to try it out, but I thought it won't be a good idea because I didn't want Lillith to hurt herself. Lillith, who ignored my worried tone emmidately went for the small hill we had to walk. She started going really fast and I started running towards her, yelling "your going too fast!" With a tone that sounded like I was scared to death! (Which I was) but right before she could've died, she got it to stop. I ran faster towards her to hug her really tight. It made me calmer.

It was starting to get harder to get out of bed every day and I having more of those awful feelings, like I wasn't enough, like I should know better, like I shouldn't be such an embarrassment to my dad. Lilith helped me through these though. But the one thing she couldn't calm me was the fact that 'everyone in Dewsbury feels dead' I had that thought wonder round my mind 10 times per day! It wasn't fun.

My birthday was coming. I'm going to be 13! I have always had mixed emotions with getting older, because it's fun to thing that you're one step closer to being an adult and getting to do whatever you want to without anyone to tell you that that's not healthy, but also that would mean I would be one more step closer to having to pay my own taxes..

Me and Lilith went shopping for new dresses for the birthday party. We found so many beautiful dresses but I settled with a cute poofy lollita style white and stripey dress, while Lillith went with a vintage, sweetheart dress that was knee length and green and brown. They were a pretty pastel green and brown though. We both looked so good in those dresses!
