because she is having a hard time like Jason. (You will understand at the end of the chapter)

Fate

POV Jason

I took Alex’s arm and led her to the hall, across the throne room, through the dinner hall and to a door way behind the stage. She gave me a small smile as we entered the banquet hall.

The banquet hall looked the same as it always; black marble floor, silver/grey walls, gold trim and one large square table in the center. Alex gasped as we walked in. I led her to the center table and she sat herself down in one of two empty seats. Everyone that lived at the manor was here; Dolly, Mark, Lori, Jezebel, Trey, Fee, William, Edon and Blaze. I glared at Blaze as I sat next to Alex, because I knew that throughout the past 300 years Blaze has loved Alex. It wasn’t a healthy love either, it was pure obsession.

Alex was smiling as we waited for the food to come. I knew William would stand up soon to give his welcome speech so I just sat with my arm around Alex and she smiled and talked with Dolly.

“Welcome, Alex” said Will as he stood up “And welcome back Jason. It has been awhile since we have had someone new join us, especially someone with your kind of power. This may all be overwhelming to you but I assure you will love it here. On a less happy and more serious note, we have decided your fate. I will not enounce it yet, for the feast is here”

Alex squirmed uncomfortable at the mention of her fate but soon snapped out of it when the food came. The food came on rolling carts pushed by workers. The workers set the food out in front of everyone and left us feeling like we were in a Disney movie. The dinner went smoothly and everyone talked, laughed and I swear Dolly almost cried. Everyone asked about Alex’s life before she knew about us, the only one that didn’t speak a word was Blaze. He just watched everyone with his hawk like eyes, it was rare that he would put in his opinion, and that in itself was rare for Blaze. Soon after the table was cleared of our dessert William stood again.

“Sorry to kill the mood but I think it is time to discusses Alexandra’s fate, is it not?” there was murmur of agreement “Well then, after going over our options and countless arguments we discovered a loop hole. We discovered that the prophesy is tied directly to Alexandra. The line in the prophesy is “The oldest and wisest” this means that it only applies to her. We also discovered that the race she loves most can’t be the human one. Alexandra, during your normal life did you ever feel attached to anyone?”

“Not really, my parents were never home and I didn’t really have friends. Well except Jason but he isn’t really human” she replied.

“This means the race she loves most is the immortal one.” Gasps rang through the room, followed by dead silence “She will either have to die or become immortal to erase the prophecy”

Dolly, Blaze and I all stood up at the exact same time to protest.

“Neither! I would rather her go through with the bloody prophesy” I cried.

“We agreed she would become immortal. No questions asked!” screamed Blaze.

“You can’t do that! If you knew who she was killing her wouldn’t even cross your minds!” shrieked Dolly.

“What do you mean by that, Maria?” asked Fee. Dolly and Helen exchanged looks and Helen nodded.

“Helen and I have discovered that Alex and I are the daughters of the first witch. This means that when Helen dies Alex and I would have to take her place in the counsel. It also mean Alex has witch in her still. And Helen is a reincarnation of the first witches sister” Dolly sunk lower into her chair as she spoke. Alex didn’t seem surprised though and I thought Dolly might have already told her.

“We already knew about Helen but why didn’t you ever tell us about you and Alex?” asked Edon.

“We knew you would treat us differently and kick Helen off the counsel and put one of us on. Helen doesn’t want to leave and I sure as hell don’t want to be on the counsel” rambled Dolly.

“The counsel will discuss this in the morning. Alexandra did you know about this?” asked William. Alex stood up to answer.

“Yes, I did. I overheard Dolly speaking to Jason about it. I’m sorry you two, my curiosity got the best of me” she blushed and Dolly and I muttered ‘That’s Ok’.

“Well I guess we should all call it a nigh” said Fee as she hopped out of her chair and bounced out the door. Soon everyone was saying goodnight and making their way out the door. I gave Alex a quick kiss before going to my room and crawling into bed. Sleep didn’t come though, I was angry at the counsel and my head was swirling.
