Leave me alone!
POV Alex
I woke up in the middle of the afternoon because of an irritating noise coming from my door, someone was knocking on it. I got up and wiped any left over tears off my face and slowly walked over to the door. I opened the door to see Blaze staring at me. His dark hair fell over his dark eyes and he had changed from the last time I saw him.
“What can I do for you?” I asked.
“I want to show you something” he stated.
“Give me two minutes” I sighed.
“I will be waiting in the throne room” he said.
I closed the door and ran to my bathroom. I grabbed my brush and ran it through my hair, then struggled to find a hair elastic. When I finally found one in one of the many drawers I threw my hair into a quick ponytail and ran out the door. As I walked down the hallway could hear Lori, mark, Dolly and Jason laughing and longed to join then. But nope, I had to spend the afternoon with an obsessive vampire. I reached the throne room and sighed when I saw Blaze.
“You wanted to know what I do at night, right?” he asked as he started up the stairs.
“Yes” I said cautiously.
He didn’t say anything more until we got to a door and he pushed it open.
“This is what I spend my nights on” pride seemed to seep through him. The room was splattered in paint, brushes lay everywhere and the far wall was all window. In the room was a collection of art. I saw abstract, a painting of the forest outside and many more. I saw a few disturbing ones too; a women with a knife through he chest, a vampire with blood allover him.
I have to say the most disturbing one was of me. My blonde feel over my shoulders and I was wearing a hoody like normal but my eyes were red, my skin was pale and I had fangs. He had painted me as a vampire.
“Aren’t they wonderful?” he asked, his voice full of awe.
“They are” I said. “What’s the story behind that one?” I pointed to vampire me.
“That’s how I wish you looked” he said simply.
“You do realize that it is a little creepy to be painting me like that” I said.
“You don’t like it?” he whimpered.
“I’m not sure what I think of it” I said slowly.
“Then I will get rid of it” he said. He grabbed the painting and took it with him into the next room over. I took this opportunity to run. I ran down the stairs, almost falling, and through the throne room. I kept running until I got to the T.V room. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to me. I was sweating and out of breath and everyone in the room looked worried. Jason and Dolly were the first ones on there feet, soon followed by Lori and Mark. I was attacked with ‘what happened’ and ‘are you okay.’ Jason took me in his arms and tried to calm me down, I was shaking and could barely talk. It wasn’t long until Blaze came into the room with a face full of hurt and anger.
“Alex…” he began, Jason jumped in front of me “What did I do?”
“I’m sorry blaze” I said from behind Jason “You were scaring me.”
“Go away Blaze” hissed Jason, by this time Mark had also stepped in front of me.
“I didn’t realize…” whispered Blaze.
“How could you not?!” I shrieked.
“Alex what happened?” asked Mark.
“I took her up to my studio” said Blaze simply.
“You had a painting of me as a vampire” I screamed.
“He what?” yelled Jason.
“I got rid of it” said Blaze “because it freaked you out.”
“Please leave” I asked. Blaze hesitated but left. Mark moved back over to Dolly and Jason turned to face me.
“I want you to stay away from him” said Jason. His voice was flat and serious, like my mothers was when I would go out with guys she didn’t like.
“You can’t say who I can or can’t hang around with” I said.
“Blaze is crazy” he said “can’t you see that?”
“He is normal” I shuddered “until he does something that he thinks upsets me”
“That’s not normal!”
“I am not talking about this!” I said before storming off. I went straight to my room, even though a part of me wanted to comfort Blaze. I quickly shook off that feeling. When I walked into my room I looked around it for something to do.
I spotted a shelf full of books above my dresser that I thought wasn’t there. It was weird how it just appeared there. Standing on the tips of my toes, I grabbed a random book off the shelf because I was too short to see what I was grabbing. I sat on my bed and started to read. My mind was distant though. I felt a bump in the back of the book; I turned to the back to see a note. It said;
Alex, I brought you these books from your house. I was going to tell you in person but with everything going on it’s hard to get a word in. If you need anything let me know. Fee
Sighing, I put the book and note down on the night table and lay on my back. I stared up at the roof and sighed again. It was August 16th, that meant 10ish weeks until I would be immortal. The idea never really hit me until now. I was starting to wonder about it though. I heard a knock at my door and groaned.
“Come in!” I yelled. The door creaked as it opened and in came in Dolly and Lori.
“Hi” said Lori as she walked in “I know we haven’t talked much but I would like you to know that I am here for you”
“I am too, I was your sister so it’s my birth right” said Dolly in her normal upbeat voice.
“Thank girls” I said as I sat up.
“You do realize you’re a witch right” said Dolly.
“Great! What’d I do now?” I sighed.
“No, no, you’re a real witch” Lori sighed.
“Right, Duh” I said as I pretended to smack my own head.
“Do you know how to use your powers?” asked Dolly.
“Not really”
“All you do is focus on what you want to happen and it normally does” she said it like it was the simplest thing in the world. “Like this”
Dolly’s face went blank as she raised her hand in line with the water bottle on my night table. In a split second it imploded and water was gushing out of the bottle.
“Holly crap” I gawked.
“I set up a training area in the dinning hall” she said “We need to be cleaned up by supper though”
So until supper I mastered the art of witchcraft. It was easy and Dolly was right, all you got to do is want something. I learned to push things and blow things up. I also learned how to stop an attacker and how to be the attacker.
