"Honey I'm home!" My dad shouted as he walked in closing the door behind him. "Hey darling,freshen up the Parker's will be here in ten minutes" she said coming to give him peck on the lips . She had calm down now that dinner was almost ready. "The Parker's? I only know of one person by that name" "Yes honey your correct you bestfriend lives next door" "What!? Why!?How!? Since when!?" "You'll find out at dinner, 5 minutes later and you are still here"she tsked dismissing him in the process, like she isn't even moved by dad's questions. I love that about my parents, the fact that they're crazy enough to have the most crazy and weirdest conversation then just bounce back to sensible ones like nothing happened. " ok" dad said She what Im telling you about. Super crazy . "Katy ?", mom said not turning to me for she was straining the water for the pasta. "Go get your brother" "Ok"
I went up to Jay's room and found him studying. "It doesn't make any sense you study you'll forever be dumb" I said lying against the door. He sticked his tongue out at me. "Mom said you were to come down for dinner and behave nice people are coming over." I ordered and went back downstairs. I finished helping mom just as the doorbell rang. "Their here and im not finished with the dressing! Go and stall them!" Mom whispered shout. I turned and roll my eyes and felt a hit on my shoulder. "Don't roll your eyes after me young lady" How did she even know? Not turning around I head to the door and open it. Inviting them in we head to the living room. I stood there awkward not knowing what to say. Just as I was about to ask if they wanted something to drink mom called us to the dining room.
I saw that Jay and dad were already down. "Hey Ryan" my dad said calmly but M-Ryan jumped on dad. Literally they both fell to the floor. "Glad to see you haven't changed" my dad huffed put as we laughed. I could tell he was the crazy one of their group. "I missed you so much buddy!" Ryan said still hugging dad and attempting to kiss him. Dad pushed him off that instance and replied. "I didn't miss you " Ryan face fell but lit up when dad hugged him. Aw they looked so cute.
Come on guys dinner is ready. We sat down at the table. Mom was at one end with dad at the other. Jay was beside Mom then Kyle's sister and her mom.. I sat on the next side of mom with Kyle beside me then his dad.
Mom let it get the food while dad was talking about highschool. Riley and Jay were really hitting it off while I was stuck with Kyle staring at me. "I'm that cute" I said smiling "Cute outfit " Kyle complemented Really, I had on a blue floral dress and my slippers.

This guy was something else. "Take a picture you'll appreciate it longer" I remarked "Nah i'll rather stare at you" "Wow cheesy much " Mom entered with three trays of food. The aroma had my mouth watering. I digged in as soon as everyone had their food.
A little while later we were finished and we had dessert. It was scrumptious blueberry muffins. I had three they were absolutely delicious.
After dessert we all went into the living room to look through one of their high school albums, we were looking and laughing at how dad and Ryan was dressed. They suddenly turned a page and there was jay and me both make in the bathe. Lucky the bubbles cover our lower parts. "Aaahhhhh!!"Both me and Jay said at the same time. I lunged for the book causing it to fall and turn to the next page. It showed me dressed in a long dull blue dress that cover even my shoes and my hair was in pigtails with me smiling showing my braces. My eyes glistened behind my big thick pink rimmed glasses. "Jesus!" I screamed again and grab the book.
I ran up to my room and slam the door making sure it wad locked I was beyond embarrassed . I could hear jay hurrying up and closing his door too. When they were sure we were gone they busted into laughter. There is no way in going back down stairs.
