[Name] walked out of her room and into the living room while tying her hair into a messy ponytail on the right side, bangs falling down over her shoulders. She was currently wearing a simple short-sleeved, white shirt and a blue skirt with suspenders, a bracelet on her left wrist, and dark stockings. Her heels still laying by the entrance.
It was simple but presentable. Just what she needed since she would soon be on her way to the wedding of a friend of Mouri Kogoro. Having to take care of two children, the small one and the big one, Ran had asked her if she could come and [Name] had swiftly agreed.
She didn't have anything better to do anyhow since it was the weekend. She was done with schoolwork and it wasn't as if the Organization gave missions every day. There would be times she wouldn't hear from them for weeks.
It wasn't like she was the only one, so she wasn't worried. It was normal for the Organization to let its members who are integrated into society to remain as such without dragging suspicion.
Thus, rather than remaining home doing nothing, she chose to go. If the Organization needed anything, they knew where to find her either way.
Just as she finished with her hair, her cell rang from the kitchen island where she left it. Thinking it was Ran, she picked up quickly without looking at the caller ID, "I'll be there soon, Ran."
"Oh, are you going out?"
The teasing voice that came from the other side stunned her for a moment before her lips curled up, a trace of warmness visible in her emerald-like orbs, "You really have great timing, don't you, Shinichi?"
"Oe, oe. What's with that reaction? Who was the one begging Agasa Hakase for news before?"
"And whose fault is that? Disappearing like that and only calling days after?" her words were laced with anger, yet if you were seeing her face, it would be easy to tell that she wasn't angry at all. Only relieved and content. At the very least, although afar, he was well and alive.
Shinichi had called her the day after the Okino Yoko case. She was so shocked that she could barely believe it was really him. Even asking a bunch of questions that only Shinichi would know the answer to. He had not hesitated in the slightest when answering and she had even asked him minuscule details about Sherlock Holmes, carefully listening to his speech pattern and tone, so there was no way it was someone else posing as him.
The Organization wouldn't have bothered and Agasa couldn't be that steady and good at being an arrogant, genius detective who was still a teenager.
"Where are you going?" he asked. The girl holding the phone to her ear with her shoulder as she lifted her skirt slightly to tie the holster to her thigh, "Just a wedding from someone Kogoro-san knows. I'm mostly going because of Conan-kun. He's an interesting kid. Kind of reminds me of you."
"Oh, really? Hakase never really mentioned him to me. I look forward to meeting him when I get back." his voice remained steady throughout his words. It could be said that Shinichi was really worthy of being the son of one of the best actresses of her generation, Fujimine Yukiko.
Not detecting any hints, [Name] put the gun inside the holster before lowering her skirt to cover it, "You're missing on a lot here. At the rate that things are going, Kogoro-san will be taking your place soon enough."
The detective letting out a scoff, "Ah, that old man? No way."
"He seems to have gotten better recently. It's as if he was under a spell. Conan-kun might really be his lucky charm." she continued to test him, but Shinichi wasn't letting anything out through the phone. [Name] could only let it be for now, Either he really doesn't know or his acting has gotten better.
