Are you sure?

It's been 2 months since we were brought into the protection program. Me and Sam have been good but I feel like I'm starting to lose feelings. Don't get me wrong I love him I just feel like the whole program situation is drifting us apart.

Kelsey: Chloe? *she waves her hand in front of my face*
Chloe: Hmm?
Kelsey: You've been acting weird, are you okay?
Chloe: Not really.
Kelsey: You want to talk about it?
Chloe: I guess....
Kelsey: What is it about?
Chloe: It's Sam. I feel like ever since we were brought into the protection program he's slowly been drifting away from me. I understand that he misses his family and friends but he's been acting weird since his breakdown a month ago
Kelsey: I thought I was the only one who noticed. Have you tried talking to him about it?
Chloe: Yes but he always avoids the question. I'll start to ask him and he just says something like "I'm fine Chloe"
Kelsey: Chloe? He never calls you Chloe.
Chloe: I know. I'm just worried
Kelsey: He loves you Chloe. I don't think he realizes what he's doing
Chloe: I don't know. I think we should take a break
Kelsey: Are you sure?
Chloe: Yeah.
Kelsey: And if Emily makes a move?
Chloe: I'll be heartbroken and would want to fight for him but I don't know
Kelsey: I think you two should take a break you both need to take some time to spend with your friends and think about where you want your relationship to go. If you end up coming back to each other then maybe you should be together, if not maybe it wasn't meant to be
Chloe: You're right Kels. I'll go talk to Sam

I walk to Sam's room to find him sitting on his bed on his phone

Chloe: Hey Sam
Sam: Hi Chloe
Chloe: Listen. I've noticed that you have seemed to be distant from me for the past few days. And I don't know if it has something to with anything I did or if-
Sam: I'm gonna stop you there. It's not about anything you did. It's that I can't handle being away from my friends and family this long. I'm only allowed to talk to them one a week and only for an hour. It's not the easiest thing to cope with and I know you're used to it so you don't really understand but this is hard for me. *he raised his voice* you have your best friends here, I don't.
By this time I felt tears running down my face. He's never blown up like this before.
Chloe: Fine. If it's so hard for you maybe you should leave.
Sam: We both know I can't do that
Chloe: Yes you can, but only if you're not associated with me
Sam: You know I don't want to leave you Chloe
Chloe: Then don't blow up at me next time. I'm sorry Sam but I think we need to take a break.
Sam: What do you mean?
Chloe: I mean that for now Sam, we're not together. That way you can get out of here. Spend time with your friends and family, don't worry about contacting me. If after a while we decide to get back together we will and if not, we won't
Sam: You don't really mean that do you?
By this time he had tears running down his face like me but I had to stand my ground. I wanted to run right into his arms at that moment and tell him that I don't really mean it, but I stayed still and nodded my head.
Chloe: I do mean it. Goodbye Sam

I walked out of the room and saw Kelsey and a Kaleigh standing there looking at me. I could tell they felt bad. I ran and hugged them both. We all fell to the floor while I was still crying. They both tried to calm me down. Eventually I hear a knock on the door.
Chloe: Come in!
I yell as I choked on my words. Who I see walk into that door was someone I had been dying to see ever since I left.
