Chapter 18

The next day - Katsuki's POV:

I woke with a yawn as I looked at the bed in front of me, Y/N laid motionless as her eyes flickered behind her closed lids. My eyes wondered from Y/N as she slept peacefully over to a clock on the wall.

*10:30am?... Damn that was a rough night.* I thought to myself as I stood up from the chair I slept in and stretched with another yawn.

Suddenly the door swung open and a doctor walked inside with a clipboard, she walked over to the machines and IV drip, she started fiddling with different things and taking notes. As she turned towards the door she gave me one look straight up and down before making a weird face and leaving.

*What the hell was that?! Bitch wants to start a fight or something!* I thought as I glared at the now closed door.

"Hmm..." Came a faint noise from beside me.

I looked to Y/N's bed where I saw her move her head then wake up, she winced at the bright sunlight coming through the window as she looked around the room before her eyes stopped on me, her eyes widened and he face lit up as she smiled and reached out a slightly stiff and shaky hand.

"Hey Katsuki." She said in a warm tone as I took her hand and sat on the bed next to her.

"Hey dumbass, how you feeling?" I asked as I gently ruffled her hair.

"Like shit but better than yesterday." She joked.

"Well I guess you could count that as a plus." I said as I chuckled slightly.

"Yeah, I guess so." She said as her smile faded.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"It's nothing, just thinking, that's all." She said as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "How did I get here?"

"I called an ambulance last night after you fainted." I said calmly.

"If I only fainted then I should've been fine for you to just put me in bed to rest." She said with a hint of confusion in her voice.

"Y-You started bleeding from your nose and ears just after you fainted, and my gut was telling me it wasn't good for you to be doing that so I called an ambulance just to make sure, they said it was definitely not good for that to be happening and... If I'd left you to "rest and feel better"... you could've died. They said that guy fried your brain when he gave you that dream and that if it happens to much more you could have permanent damage." I said hesitantly.

Her eyes grew wide as those words left my mouth and her face went pale as she sunk back down into the hospital bed, her heartbeat quickened, which was perfectly clear from the fast beeping from the monitor beside her. Her breathing became shallow as she started to hyperventilate.

"Y/N?... I need you to calm down, ok? Focus on my voice and try to calm down, deep breaths ok? In... and out, in... and out." I said as I grabbed her hand to help calm her down.

After about 5 minutes her breathing finally started to return back to normal and her heartbeat dropped back to a normal rate.

"It was that same guy again wasn't it? The same one who stabbed my mum." She asked as she kept her head low and a single tear ran down her cheek.

"Yeah it was... but don't worry! I'm gonna kick his ass! Bastard won't get away with any of this!" I said as I wiped the tears off her face.

"I'm helping!... There's something about this guy that makes me uneasy and it's not the fact that he can mentally attack me." She said as she seemed to fall into deep thought.

"I don't want you getting any more hurt than you already are dumbass, this nut job is dangerous and for some reason only wants you!" I said as she shot me a dirty look. "No use giving me evil looks, it doesn't change the fact that your this maniac's target!"

"EXACTLY! I'm the target! That makes me the perfect bait." She said in annoyance.

*If looks could kill I'd be burnt to a crisp and 6ft under with the way she's looking at me.* I thought to myself as I chuckled a little bit.

"And whats so funny?" She asked impatiently.

"Nothing, don't worry about it." I said quickly.

She rolled her eyes and shifted in the bed slightly, then suddenly THUD!~ I hit the floor.

"Ouch! What the fuck was that for?!" I yelled as I looked at her.

"What? I didn't do anything." She said as she attempted to keep a straight face but failed and started laughing.

"Yeah, whatever. Your a pain in the ass, you know that?" I said as I got up and dusted myself off.

"I know, I'm sorry." She said as she looked up at me.

I took a deep breath and sighed as I looked down at her but the way she was half smiling with a frown of slight guilt made me laugh a little, she looked up at me in surprise and confusion as I laughed to myself as her reaction.

"W-What?" She asked worriedly.

"Nothing, just you." I said as my laughter died down.

"M-Me? What did I do?" She asked with a huff.

"Nothing, just being you." I said with a smile as I ruffled her hair again.

She straightened out her hair as she looked up at me and giggled, suddenly the door swung open and hit the wall with a BANG!~ We instantly looked over in shock and a small squeal coming from Y/N but we didn't expect to see who we did.
