It's No Big Deal...

- Vic's P.O.V -

"I will avenge my cheese fries!" I shouted, breathing heavily. Just like every other day, my so called 'friends' took all of my food. Real friends don't take their friends food, it's a known law.

Tony looked up at me with amusement, "You sure are happy for someone who has just gotten rejected," he mumbled, earning a nod from a very chirpy Jeremy.

I glanced up at them with wide eyes, "Whoa, you two are acting as if my whole world has just crashed and burned!" I shouted hastily, "Besides, it's really no big deal- he and I would probably never get along in that way," I shook my head, shrugging halfheartedly. Truth be told, I was feeling a slight pang of sadness from the whole ordeal, but that's completely normal! Anyone would feel down after being rejected, obviously.

I mean, could I really say I was rejected? Maybe he just got nervous and left- who knows? For now I'll just consider it a pending offer. At least, that's what Jaime's been telling me to call it. He's not so happy about the way things turned out. I on the other hand think this is great! Seriously, now I won't have to be in some gay relationship as a bet, looks like Jaime's plan has backfired. Ha-ha. Looks, like I- Vic Fuentes have had the last laugh!

"Victor Vincent Fuentes!" Oh no, I have spoken too soon. (voice that in a formal matter, like when meeting a very elegant person) My head whipped back in surprise, a very pissed off Mike glaring down at me.

"Oh, you had me worried there for a second," I laughed, wiping me hands off with my shirt. "What's up brother-oh!?" I sang out, in an all too enthusiastic tone.

Mike rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest, "I know what you did..." he muttered, looking at me with narrowed eyes. Well fuck me! My head whipped back to look at the others', only Jaime was focused on our conversation. He doesn't know MIke knows, so this could turn out to be a problem.

'C'mon Vic, you can do this!' Something that may satisfy both, something..."Is this about the pancake incident?" I murmured, looking up at him with guilty eyes, "Because if it is, I'm so sorry Mike, it was just so tempting! I understand if you never wanna eat pancakes with me again," I glanced up at him sympathetically.

"What the hell are you talking about?" his whole demeanor changed, he no longer looked angry, just confused. Like a puppy- if Mike was a dog he'd be a boxer, and I'd be the all too scary chihuahua.

I shook my head quickly, getting rid of the animal nonsense, "The pancakes, they...-" now what? What did the pancakes do, and why? "The batter fell into the sink before I made them!" Wow, really, that's the best you could come up with?

His eyebrows drew together, "That's impossible," he stated, "If the pancake batter fell into the sink it would've flown right into the sink hole- thingy. Besides, batter can't actually-" he began climbing onto his high horse, more than likely about to give me a whole lecture on pancakes and sinks.

I sighed, doing whatever a modest older brother would do- I walked away. Mike was too busy talking about how the first pancake came to be, or something like that. I scanned the lunch room until I realized a very important person didn't happen to be here.

- Kellin's P.O.V -

"I'm so sorry! Wow, you probably think I'm the worlds biggest asshole, huh?" I threw my head back, letting it hit the wall with a little too much force.

Matty shrugged, cramming his sketchbooks into his locker, "I'm used to it." he smiled, "The fact that you actually noticed me was just because we both happened to be in there at the same time," he added quickly.

I looked up at him, "Well- I'm Kellin Quinn!" Was that too much? I've already fucked up my first impression.

He quirked an eyebrow at me, "No need to tell me your name," he shrugged me off, something I should've probably have been offended by, but I wasn't. The way he did it was just too cool! "Uh, just pretend we'd never met...like, yeah that's basically it. I don't exist, alright?" he'd continued to mess with his things even as he spoke, only to look up at me so that he'd see my response.

"U-Uh, why?" I found myself asking, he's gotta have some good reason.

"I just don't want people knowing me- it's a pain in the ass." he stated vaguely. I nodded slowly, not quite understanding his motives, but what can I do? I'm sure he'd be annoyed if I pushed the subject. He grinned, much like Jeremy's grin, except his looked less...stupid. "Thanks, uh...Kellin?" Wow, rude. "I should get going now!" he offered me a small wave before running off.

I watched him as he went along, unsure if he was sprinting or running, is there an actual difference, though?
