 - Vic's P.O.V -

I trudged up towards Kellin's house, keeping a steady grip on the art supplies I'd picked up on the way here, I didn't even have to make it all the way there before his mom walked out, "Oh Vic?" she glanced over at the stuff I was carrying, giving me a confused look.

"Hey!" I was about to pick up my arm to wave at her, completely forgetting that it was currently occupied- "Whoa, hi! Is Kellin here?" I recovered quickly, looking up at her with hopeful eyes.

She frowned, "He didn't tell you?" she asked, I shook my head. "He's set to meet up with his father today..." she mumbled, not seeming all that interested.

My eyes lightened up, Papa Quinn

"Mr. Quinn!? Whoa, is he here ri-" my words tumbled over each other, I swear I feel my heartbeat picking up- I'm finally going to meet the other side of the chocolate chip cookie! The salt to the fries! The shade on a sunny day at the park!

"Mr. Bostwick," she corrected me.

Bostwick. That must mean Kellin's..."Wait, where does Quinn come from, then?" I asked after a few seconds.

"That's his middle name, Kellin Quinn Bostwick, though he insisted on everyone calling him Kellin Quinn after the divorce," she shrugged.

I dropped everything.

I've been living a lie.

What do I say now? If she isn't Ms. Quinn, she must be..."Ms. Bostwick!" I shouted, taking the time to watch the markers roll around.

"Just call me Ms. Quinn, it sounds cooler." she insisted, not seeming to mind the mess I'd just made in front of their door.

I nodded quickly.

"So, how's operation get Kellin and Vic together working out?" Ms. Quinn asked after a few full filling moments of silence.

I exhaled deeply, "Not going as great as I would've hoped, ma'am," I pouted, "Why did you have such a difficult child!?" I asked seriously, looking at her desperately.

"I ask myself the same thing everyday..." she murmured, loud enough for me to hear, "He's like a splinter, it takes you forever to pull out, but once you do, you feel nothing but sweet, sweet relief," a warm smile was directed towards me.

That could be taken many different ways.

We both sat there quietly while I tried to convince myself that she did in fact mean in an innocent way, and that there was no way Kellin was into incest. The thought itself made me cringe. Then again, she could be referring to the birth of Kellin Quinn. This is giving me a real headache.

"Hey Vic, can I ask you a question...?" she finally spoke up, after realizing I was probably going to be stuck in la-la land for another few minutes, I nodded in acknowledgement, "What's a MILF?" she looked at me with full on seriousness.

I chocked on the fucking air, "H-How did you learn that word!?" I exclaimed, breathing heavily.

She shrugged, "One of my newer clients kept saying that during our session, I've been trying to figure out what it means all day!" her eyes held a conflicted look, shoulders slumped helplessly.

"I-It means-"

Quick Vic, she'll get suspicious!

"Maybe I Like Fungus!" I shouted, looking up at her with wide eyes. Was that believable enough? Frick!

She tilted her head to the side, "Are you sure?" I nodded frantically, "Wow, thanks Vic!" she grinned.

What the fuck?

"Hey mom, I'm ho- Oh, it's Vic." Kellin slowed down, an amused look on his face, "What're you doing here?" he asked, setting his sweater down on the sofa.

Thank the lord and all that is mighty for his timing

I stood up quickly, "I've come to help you work on our art project! Look, I've bought supplies and everything," I gestured over towards the bag of stuff in the corner of the room.

"You mean the project that was due today?" Kellin asked after a few seconds, "It's already finished and turned in, don't worry about it," he mumbled.

So responsible!

Ms. Quinn seemed to notice the changed atmosphere, "Well, I should go and...do motherly things! You two have fun!" she began walking away, "Wait, Kellin!" she called out, once she was almost out of the room.

"What?" Kellin asked, seeming uninterested in whatever it is she's about to say.

She chuckled, "MILF," she winked, walking out of the room without another word.

Kellin turned to look at me for an explanation.

"I-" I sighed, "I don't know, man..."

***********

oops, I'm trying to figure out a way to just bring Kellic into the equation, so please just keep reading! this chapter is just a filler, haha.

I was going to make a thanksgiving chapter where kellin's mom accidentally bought a chicken instead of a turkey, and vic kept messing with the turkey wings so they tore off, but it;s too late now. *sigh*
