Part three has finally arrived. I hope you guys enjoy.
Mycroft left to go and get Greg some clean clothes and something to wash with.
It took a while to get all of the blood off of him, and then to change the bandages, but eventually Greg looked somewhat presentable.
It was then that Mycroft realised they were probably both incredibly hungry and invited Greg inside for some breakfast. Greg had gratefully if not reluctantly accepted.
Now that Greg was sat on a stool at the breakfast bar in Mycroft's kitchen, watching the other man busy himself with cooking, he felt slightly better about it.
"I hope you don't mind me asking." Mycroft said, turning around suddenly to face the other man. "But, well, what do you eat?"
Greg barked a laugh. "Oh you know, worms and beetles, sometimes if I'm really hungry I'll go for a squirrel."
Mycroft gave his guest a look that was halfway between disgusted and horrified. Greg grinned at him. "I'm joking. I eat exactly the same as you do, I'm a human being well, sort of."
Mycroft looked a little unsure, but nodded regardless and moved towards his fridge. "How does scrambled eggs sound? I'm afraid I don't have much else..."
"Sounds lovely." Greg responded. "Thank you."
Mycroft broke into a small smile before he set to work. Greg crossed his arms on the counter and rested his head on them like a pillow. He watched him silently for a while, drifting in and out of consciousness. He didn't remember a time when he was this relaxed before.
"So how did you end up out here?" Mycroft asked as he pushed some eggs about in a pan. It was quite far out of London. Surely Greg couldn't have walked.
Greg sighed gently, his eyes still closed. "I drove, my car's around here somewhere. I do it every full moon, just get as far out as I can from the city before I turn and then spend the night in the woods 'round here."
"So you live in London? Surely it's not safe for you in the city. What if you didn't make it out in time?"
"I- I know." Greg replied with a heavy heart. He'd often thought out what might happen if he changed while still in London. He knew he would hurt people, and he knew it was only a matter of time before that accident occurred. "I can't really do anything about it though..."
Mycroft nodded understandingly before an idea came to him. He spun around on his heel and said it almost without even thinking. "You may live with me if you like."
"What?!" Greg responded, blushing slightly.
Mycroft also went red as he realised what he'd said. "No- Not like that! I mean, when you're sure you're going to change, you can come here. It's far enough away from the city, and there aren't any farms for miles. You would be safe."
Greg had got his blushing under control enough to listen to what Mycroft was saying. "That's a very kind offer, but I couldn't do that. What if I hurt you?"
"Well you could just use the shed and come and go as you please. I will lock the house up, install some extra security measures and go and stay in a hotel in London for the night." Mycroft returned, the more he thought about it the more it made sense.
Greg was shocked that a stranger would go to such lengths just to help him. "Well, I- I don't really know what to say..."
"I'm sorry." Mycroft said. "I've made you uncomfortable..."
Greg's eyes darted up to meet Mycrofts. "No you haven't, not at all. In fact, if you're being serious, I'd like to that..."
"Then it's decided. Every full moon you will come and stay here." Mycroft said, giving the other man a firm nod.
"I- Well, thank you..." Greg couldn't believe a stranger was being this nice to him. Although, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't grateful for the opportunity to get to know Mycroft better. "But I can't stay here if you burn it down first."
"What? Oh- OH MY GOD THE EGGS!" Mycroft exclaimed going back over to some very black eggs.
Greg let out a loud laugh. Out of all of the people that could have found him last night, it was this man, and he glad of it.
