Listen, I could flesh this out and make it more story like, but I liked it just on it's own. So here it is.

"Wait, Mycroft!" Greg suddenly exclaimed, taking a step closer to the other man.

Mycroft stopped in his tracks and turned around. "Yes, Inspector?"

"Look, I- I really need to get this off my chest and I know you won't feel the same way and that's fine but I just have to say it." Lestrade rambled.

Mycroft only nodded.

Greg hesitated, swallowed hard and took a deep breath. "I just can't get you out of my head. Anytime I'm around you my heart races and I feel like a teenager again. Sorry, I'm probably making you really uncomfortable. Look, forget I said anything. I shouldn't have been so-"

"Inspector."

Greg immediately stopped talking and his cheeks took on a bright red. "Oh- Oh sorry, was I rambling?" He tried to meet Mycrofts eye but he just couldn't bring himself to do it.

"Yes. You were."

"I'm sorry. I'll go, yeah? Have a good ni-"

"Gregory, it's ok." Mycroft could almost smile at the mess of a man in front of him. Inspector Lestrade was usually so confident and organised, yet right now you'd think he didn't even know the meaning of the words. It was a rather amusing sight. "I also have something I must say, seeing as you trusted me with your confession."

Greg nodded at the floor. This was it, the moment Mycroft broke his heart. He probably liked someone else, or wasn't into guys, or just plain didn't like him.

"If I am being quite honest, I rather feel the same." Mycroft said. "Ever since we first met I've been rather intrigued with you. I suppose you could say I can't get you out of my head as well."

Greg almost choked on his own words. "R-really? You're not just saying that?"

"Do I seem like the sort of man to indulge in emotional confessions just for fun?" Mycroft asked, one singular eyebrow raised.

"No, no I suppose not..."

Mycroft smiled gently and reached his hand out for the other man to take, which Greg accepted. "Now let's get you home. It's absolutely dreadful weather out here and I'd hate for either of us to catch something."

Greg gave a small smile back. "Alright."
