Chapter 40

"Amy ?" I hear an unsure voice say from behind me. I carefully look back trying to avoid the pain of my leg and bruises.

"Yeah ?" I reply to a guy that wore a flannel, a pair of blue jeans, and some timberlands. Behind him there was Alex, and a blonde guy that I knew was a friend of Austin's but never associated with. A quick flashback came to my mind, the party , when Alex or Austin dared him to go get at a few girls. That part was blurry. I also remembered the day when Austin brought me to the hospital, he was driving. Coming back to my thoughts

"You're Robert" I weakly say as he nods confirming that was his name. "What are you doing here ?" I say confused.

"Austin said it was okay for us to come by and see you, we went up to your room but the nurse said you were down here" Alex jumps into the conversation
"We hope you don't mind" the blonde haired guy said.

"Uh, no I don't.. What's your name again ?" A small smile grew on his face
"Zach, my names Zach" he says
"So how you've been ?" Rob sits next to me giving me a gentle pat on my back.

"Alright... It's still a lot to take in you know..." I shrug.

"We'll help you out with everything, we just want you to know we're not bad people, and if you need anything you could count on us" I smile at him mouthing a 'thank you'

I sit in the car reading the paper over and over again. "The DNA test you sent came in as a negative meaning you are not related" said on it

A huge smile grew on my face as I couldn't wait to tell Amy the news. Quickly getting off of the car shutting it closed I hurry into the entrance running in all directions. Scenarios going through my mind

What would Amy think ?

She'd be happy. Honestly I couldn't wait to finally, actually be able to hug her without feeling weird. Love her again the way I did. Or always have...but kept in secret. I walk over to the garden not finding her at all.

"Excuse me, have you seen a girl injured leg, brownish hair?" The lady nods "she went that way with a few young boys" pointing ahead of her.

"Thank you" i walk over and look for them. Quickly knowing it was the rest of the crew, The entrance was to the main building leading to the elevators. I guessed they would be back in her room so u decided to go back up there. Reaching the door I wipe my sweaty wet hand on my jeans before opening the door.

How am I going to say this ?

I opened it revealing Zach looking out the window, Alex with his hands deep in his pockets and Robert sitting on a chair talking with Amy. "Aye wassup Austin" Zach says and I glance at him, "Zach" then I quickly get to what I was going to say, while the guys eyes including Amy's were on me.

"Amy can I talk to you privately ?" She nods and the guys look at each other. Deciding to walk out of the room waiting outside I close the door bind them.

"You need something ?"

How Austin ? How as you going to say this ?

"Amy... I love you."

Her eyes quickly widen but a small smile grew on her face. "I love you too Austin, you've really been a good brother to me, and I can't thank you enough" she had misunderstood me.

"What ? No . I mean Amy I'm in love with you" she shook her head not wanting to hear me, but I still said it.

"Austin stop. We're related , you can't say that-" I quickly jumped in "WERE NOT AMY !" I shout in excitement.

"We're not what ?" She asked confused

"We're not related, we're not brother and sister, we could be together now !!" I run up to her getting on my knees so we were both the same eyes level

"What are you talking about ? Both our parents clearly said we were.."

"I took a DNA test Amy, I got back the results, now we could finally be together. "

"You did what ?!? How did you get a sample from me ?! " she starts to panic

"I..." My mind quickly tried thinking of something but I couldn't figure out what excuse to say. She looks at me in deep gaze waiting for me to answer. "I...took some DNA from you when you were asleep..."

"YOU ASSHOLE !!! YOU WENT BEHIND MY BACK AND TOOK A DNA TEST !!! " she starts to angrily scream "you need a signature from both people taking the test..." She calms down putting the pieces together "how did you get away with that ?"

"I..might've forged your signature..." I scratch the back of my head trying to avoid contact when all I see her is throw a mirror at me that stood next to her bedset.

"GET OUT !!! GET OUT !!!"

"But...I thought you'd he happy-" she quickly stopped me by overpowering my voice with her loud angered shouts.

"WHAT IF I NEVER WANTES TO KNOW THE TRUTH ?!? WHAT IF I JUST WANTED IT TO BE LIKE THIS FROM NOW ON ?!?.." My heart started to hurt little by little at what she was saying.

"But you said you loved me...that's why I did this. I did it for the both of us !!" She bites her lip shaking her head not wanting to hear it.

"AUSTIN I WAS ON FUCKING DRUGS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD !!! I DIDNT KNOW HALF THE STUFF I WAS SAYING !"

"You're lying." I simply said. She quickly looked away and I saw a year form at the edge of her eye....

"I might be lying...yes. But the fact that you honestly made such a dick move in doing this behind my back shows how selfish and pathetic you are." My heart sank at how harsh and mean she sounded spatting those words at me. But just before I thought it could get any worse... "I hate you. I hate you so much I want nothing to do with you... Get out !!!"

My heart broke into a million pieces, as those words escaped from the only girl I felt so many emotions towards. I loved her. I loved her with all my heart. Yet she felt the complete opposite. She felt disgusted and hatred.
