Chapter 16 - Confession

First Person POV

You opened your eyes just to see a small figure snuggling into your chest. You used your hand to rub its hair slowly then heard its purrs. The ray of sunshine pierced through the window, telling you its already sunrise. Realized you're having your first official mission today, you decided to wake Blake's up from her deep sleep. You shook her body gently and not long after that you heard her grunted.

" Hmmmm.... Another... five minutes.", she whined. A smile grew on your face as continued to play with her soft, wavy hair.

" Blake."

" Mhmm."

" Now I wonder, since when did you start to like me?", you asked. Your question was left hanging for a few seconds. Finally, she turned her head form your chest, looking into your (E/c) eyes.

" Why do you want to know?", she asked back. You moved some strands of hair from her face then caressed her soft cheek. She pushes her face into your hand, asking you to pat her.

" I'm just.... I know you like me for a long time because... If you don't, we won't be like this in one night. And now I'm curious.", you explained to her. She chuckles then snuggles into your chest.

" Ever since I officially joined White Fang." she mumbled.

" What? Why? I thought you consider me as your big brother."

" Well, yeah... I do. But seeing you try your best training every single day to help the other Faunuses even though you didn't know them makes me feel.... safe.", she said. You took her chin then gently raised her head facing towards yours. You saw her blushed brightly then you peck on her soft lips.

" What's so good about me? I thought you liked 'him'?", you asked. She kinda looks frustrated when you said the word 'him'. She stared deep into your eyes then let off a heavy sighed.

" I do, but he's always being too passionate about our causes then he just... overdo it. Sometimes he would kill the innocence without reasons. That's what makes me left him."

" But... I killed people too. Lots of them. Even worst, the name (C/n) used to called me the monster I was.", you said confused.

" I know. But you did it with reasons. Reasons that were acceptable.", she answered." How about you? You never show me your interest before... So when?"

" Hmmm. I think.... When I found you here at Beacon.", you said while putting your index finger on your chin. You saw Blake raised her right eyebrow and looked at you.

" So you did tailed me here?", she hissed.

" No! I'm not.... I got here because of Ozpin. I.. *sigh* I was caught by the police and nearly got a death sentence. But he offered me a place to stay... with one condition... He wanted me to be a huntsman.", you explained. She heard you very carefully then plays her fingers on your chest.

" So you came here because of him?"

" Technically, yes." you answered. She slowly worked her way towards your face. Slowly, both of you kiss each other's lips. The kiss lasts for a couple of seconds until it was broken apart in search of air. You lean your forehead against hers then stare deeply into her amber eyes. The tip of your nose touched hers." I love you, Blake. You're the only thing I have left in this world. I promise to keep you safe at all cost.", you said while your fingers intertwined with hers.

" I love you, too.", she replied. Both of you part from each other after sharing another quick kiss. She holds the blanket on her chest, covering most parts of her naked body. You pull a towel then wrapped it around your waist.
