Chapter 21 - Qrow and Winter

" Mr. (L/n), if you may?", Ozpin said to you as the elevator opened wide right in his office. You walked into that room. He walked in front of his chair then signals you to have a seat. You do so then he started to clear his throat before he proceeds into the conversation. " How are feeling for today. Better than before?"

" Are you seriously calling me here just for that?"

" I don't want to make it rude without asking your well being the match you lose. Now, I want to ask you one question. Do you know what's happening inside the White Fang recently?", the question makes you a bit worried and shocked at the same time.

" What's happening? What..... What do you mean?"

" Well after the last incident happened in the city, my observations conclude that White Fang has been rather.... more active than usual. In fact, the involvement of Mr. Torchwick makes it becoming weird. Because as far as I know, White Fang is an organization that never associate with mere human beings."

" I.... I have no idea about that. As far as I know, White Fang just follows the right order of their High Leader. But...."

" But what?"

" *exhale* Before I quitted White Fang, I saw Adam still hates the idea to work with humans. So, I was wondering if anything turned around when I'm not there."

" Things became more complicated as you expected. Then maybe you may know what are they planning, do you?"

" I.... I'm not sure. But wait a second. Why are you asking me this?"

" Surely you do understand that I didn't run this school without a reason. In fact, their activities may bring us misfortune if we can't get it right."

" Maybe you're right... But I can't provide you with the answers you seek. Thanks.", you said then stood up from the chair just about to leave. Then you saw an Atlesian ship flew through the sky. That ship looks kinda different from the others, it seems like it carries a high value person in it. Suddenly the elevator opened wide, showing Professor Glynda walking in a proper manner, holding a tablet in her arms.

" Excuse me, Professor. General Ironwood's.... assistance have arrived.", she said while walking to Professor Ozpin's side.

" Getting busy, huh? If that's all you wanted to ask, I'm going now.", you said while walking towards the elevator.

" Mr.(L/n). Have you feel anything?", his words stopped you in the middle of the room.

" What do you mean?"

" Remember, you're special. You have the power, not others worthy enough to conquer. So please, if you have any other abnormal things you feel, come and see me. I can help you through it."

" Right.", you answered simply. You continue to walk into the elevator. As soon as you get into it, you turned your body around, looking at both Ozpin and Glynda before the door closes. As soon as the elevator stops at the ground floor, you walked out of it then went straight into the courtyard where some people gathered, watching something that picked your interest. You walk faster then saw 2 individuals fighting each other. One with a huge segmented blade and the other wore a high-ranked Atlantean officer. People around you cheered loudly then as you scan around you. You also saw Ruby and Weiss standing side by side, watching the fight very closely. You walk towards then received a short greeting from Ruby who saw you coming.

" Hey, (Y/n)!"

" You guys having fun watching this?"

" Having fun watching my sister teach that guy a lesson, yes. I do.", Weiss answered boldly.

" Owh Uncle Qrow would never lose to her. Beat her down Uncle Qrow!!", Ruby fired back. Winter, Weiss' sister, summoned a flock of birds to attack Qrow. He deflects some of it then counter her attack by sending a vertical wind slash attack using his big sword. She charges her final attack as Qrow transforming his weapon. Just before she strikes, Qrow cancels his weapon transformation then gets himself ready for her last attack. She charges forward, pointing her blade straight to Qrow's throat. But she stopped her attack right before she could touch Qrow's skin after she heard her general called her name.

" What in the world do you think you're doing?"

" He started the altercation, sir!"

" That's actually not true. She attacked first.", Qrow fired back. Winter didn't look like she can deny that statement.

" Is that true?", he asked as he took some time to scan the area around them. " And you." He asked Qrow who obviously pointing himself sarcastically. " What are you doing here?"

" I could be asking you the same thing."

" I-" before he could answer Qrow's words, Ozpin break the silence.

" Now now, everyone. There is a sanctioned fight happening just around the corner at the colosseum that I can assure you has better seats... and popcorns."

" Break it up, everyone! We will take care of this mess.", Glynda continued. She uses her wand and semblance to fix the damages caused by that fight while General Ironwood and his assistance walk through the courtyard towards the tower. Weiss follows Ruby who walks to her uncle. She waves towards Penny who joined General Ironwood's group to the tower.

" Uncle Qrow!", she shouted as she leaps on Qrow's right hand, clinging on it like a sloth." It's so good to see you! Did you miss me? Did you miss me?!"

" No.", he answered sarcastically. He rummages her hair before dropping her off his arm as Ozpin calls him.

" Qrow! A word, please.", he said. You and Weiss can't hear their conversation before Qrow fistbumps with Ruby then follows Ozpin to his office.

" And suddenly your recklessness makes sense.", Weiss said.

" You just made cause he whooped butt.", Ruby said back. You cross your arms then join their pep talk.

" Well, Qrow can make a good ally if you know him."

" You know him!", Ruby asked in surprise.

" Nah. Just happened to fight with him in my previous white Fang mission.", you said.

" I bet he can't beat my sister.", Weiss tried to stand her ground.

" Well, based on my experience. Winter is much easier to fight with.", you fired back which obviously makes Weiss mad.

" Wait, have you fought them before?", Weiss asked. You frowned upon the question she gave you as you remember the encounters you and the other White Fang members have with them.

" Yeah. Couple times. But mostly we abort the mission for our own safety and reason.", you explained. Both of them hear you carefully. Weiss then crosses her arms firm then walks away, frustrated. " Looks like she hates me now.", you said.

" Weiss wait!", Ruby shouted as she started to pick up her pace. You just follow them as you started to wonder about why Ozpin keeps on talking about your eyes and of course, what is he hiding from us until he has to call out the best soldiers and one of the best huntsman in Remnant for this festival?
