The long way home || Shawn Mendes||

Shawn and I lay in bed with my head on his chest. After all these years and the pain we have been through we are back together. We are going to take it slow and aren't going to let it go public yet. We slowly drift to sleep in each others arms.

We wake up to a knock on the door and I waddle over to it.

"Hey," Alessia smiles.

"Babe who is it?" Shawn yells before waddling over and wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning his head on my sholder.

"Are you guys?" Alessia asks and I nod my head.

She quickly turns around and starts pounding on Danny's door and we run after her.

"What?" Danny moans opening the door.

"Alessia," I moan.

"Shawn and Alex finally together," she smiles.

"Aww you guys," Danny says doing a bro hug with Shawn and then giving me a hug.

"Thanks and thanks Alessia," I say shaking my head.

"Your welcome," Alessia grins.

Shawn and I walk back to my room and I flop down on the bed while Shawn crawls in beside me. He instantly wraps his arms around me and buries his face in my neck.

"Now that I have you back I'm never letting you go again," Shawn says.

"Good," I smile playing with his hair when my phone starts ringing, "one sec," I say picking it up and I see that Taz is calling me, "It's Taz I should talk to her I haven't in days," I say walking out onto the balcony while answering the phone.

"I'll be here," Shawn yells.

"Who was that?" Taz asks.

"Just Shawn," I say sitting down on a chair.

"Hey," Shawn yells from inside.

"Shh," I say shutting the door.

"So how are you?" Taz asks.

"I'm good, you?" I ask.

"I'm good so is Ollie so how's tour been is it as bad as you thought it was going to be?" Taz asks.

"It's actually great, it's been so much fun other than the getting stuck in the elevator and tour bus, there's also something else," I say.

"What else?" Taz asks trying not to sound nervous.

"Shawn and I might be dating," I say biting my nails.

"You what!" Taz yells.

"I realised that I still love him and I couldn't let that go," I say.

"Well if your happy I'm happy just be careful that you don't get hurt," Taz says.

"Thanks," I smile.

"Well I should go bye," Taz says.

"Bye," I say before I head back inside and laying down beside Shawn.

"Hi," Shawn says giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Hi," I say wrapping my arms around him and cuddling up to him.

We lay there for a while with Shawn drawing circles on my back and I playing with his hair. We finally get up and I have a shower while Shawn gets dressed. After my shower I put on some ripped jeans and a white and orange stripped shirt tucked into them with the top few buttons open. I curl my hair and I put on some make up before sliding on my black heeled boots.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" Shawn asks.

"Yep," I smile grabbing my stuff and then we head down the hallway hand in hand.

We walk around town and end up in Stephen's green park. We walk around talking and laughing before we sit down on a bench. Shawn holds my hand while I lay my head on his sholder. It feels so surreal sitting here with him the cold breeze blowing through our hair as the warm fall sun hits our face. It calms me seeing the world going by. Looking at all the people that walk by knowing they all have different stories some will cross paths but some won't even know the others exist. Shawn gives me a kiss on the head before we stand up and start walking again. A dog waddles up to us and I bend down to give it a pet. I start talking to the owner asking things about it and I find out his name is Franklin and he is a German Shepherd mixed with an Australian Shepherd and a Akita. When the lady and her dog leave I stand up and turn around to see Shawn standing there with a daffodil in his hands with a big smile on his face. I walk over to him with a smile creeping up onto my face. He gives me the daffodil and I hold his hands as I look in his eyes before he leans in and kisses me. We pull apart and I smile. We start to walk again and we walk back into town before stopping of for lunch.

"I have a surprise for you," Shawn says taking something out of his pocket and putting them on the table. I look down and I see that it's tickets to the New Rules concert tonight.

"Oh my god thank you," I say standing up and giving him a hug. I pick them up and I smile since they are one of my favourite bands.

"You're welcome," he smiles.

Once we finish lunch we head back to the hotel and lay around for a bit before we start getting ready. I put on a blush mini skirt and a black wool jumper and some knee high black boots. I fix the curls in my hair and my make up. Once we are both ready we head to the concert. When we get there we get some drinks before going over to where we will be standing. When they come on everybody screams. We dance the night away as I sing to every word. I love it every time Shawn spins we or pulls me in close so that I feel his breath. When the concerts over we head back to the pub we were in before and we play some darts as we drink.  When the pub closes we head back to the hotel to get some rest for Shawn's concert tomorrow.
