Chapter 10

Miley pov.

I woke up to a pair of hands stroking my hair, I rolled onto my left and opened my one eye to find Jenna stroking my hair. "Hey, Miley" she said.

"hmm? "I called.

"what happened? "Jenna asked.

"Nothing" I answered groggily as I sat up.

"You had been out the whole day yesterday, and today you are sleeping past twelve. What got you so tired?" She asked sitting on my bed.

"My head's in pain, all morning. I had woken up early but the pain was too unbearable" I said pressing the base of my palm to my eyes. "So I went back to sleep"

"Okay, how about you get refreshed and get down and I will give you a cup of coffee and some medicine for the headache" Jenna said giving me a smile.

I nodded my head. "Yes, please " I said sighing.

"Alright, get refreshed I will see you down " Jenna got up from my bed and got out of my room.

I sat on my bed for a few seconds before getting out of it, I made my way to the bed side table and sat on the floor. My bed covered my figure from anyone who came into the room, so it was safe for me to take out the device. I placed the radio replica thingy on the floor and looked at it.

I tried pressing various buttons, but none of them worked there was also an inlet for battery but I tried to remove the cover of it, itdidn't budge. I sighed. If it's an important device surly there has got to be a way to do something with it, and I couldn't search about the huge radio replica thingy on the Internet. I yawned and looked at the device again, I shook my head and placed it inside and got to my washroom.

After washing my face with some cold water, I wiped my face in a towel as I got downstairs. I went to the kitchen to find Jenna pouring coffee into a mug. I smiled and sat on the kitchen counter as she gave me my cup of coffee.

"how was your day?" I asked taking a sip of it.

"it was fun, as usual" Jenna said shrugging her shoulders. "Not many customers on the weekends "

I hummed in response and continued drinking my coffee.

"You tell me about you, where were you yesterday?" Jenna asked. "The whole day I didn't get to see you, it had me worried "

"Well, I was going after the device. I told you about it" I said finishing my coffee.

"And did you find it?" Jenna asked.

"I suppose " I said sighing.

"You suppose? What are you going to do about it ?" Jenna asked. "What is the device about ?"

"I am going to blackmail them obviously" I said taking a cookie from the jar. "And what the device is about is none of your concern "

"What? Why--"

"Jenna, all you need to know about the device is that I am using it. I don't need to involve you deeper into this by telling you about what the device is about or what it does. So just let it go " I said.

"Alright, okay, I will zip up" Jenna said. "But if there is any problem, you will call me won't you ?"

I rolled my eyes but nodded my head nevertheless.

After spending some time with Jenna, I made my way to my room. I locked my door and switched off the lights and took the device from my bed side table and sat on the floor with my legs crossed. The reflected street light was the only source of light into my room. I sighed in peace and looked around my room.
