' Understanding Lies'

I slowly creeped inside my house and went to my room. I quickly picked up my bag and ran downstairs and right when I was about to leave. I got caught.

" I need answers young lady " Jenna said, crossing her arms across her chest.

" I will give you everything. But let me first tell you something " I said." I am not going to California "

" what? Why? Your mom is expecting you, that's why she came back early from Bulgaria "

" I know, but it's not safe for me. People, my enemies, know I am alive. If I go back they will target me and mom just gave birth to Divina, I can't put her in danger. So no, I am not going back "

" that's terrible, bad. How did you know that? "

" I have to go to school. Can we do it later? "

" no, shut up. Sit down and tell me "

" well then, it's story time" I said, sighing. I jumped on couch, crossing my legs and rested my head on the arm rest." once upon a time........ "

" this all happened in one night? " Jenna asked, her face widened.

" no, the fight happened one night. Last week. I stayed in the gang house till I healed. Till I looked like I am not a freak, till I bought expensive make up products to cover up everything. So, yeah. It was big and we won "

" but I don't understand. You said you killed Mark, but how did you blackmail Haze with Mark? "

" truth is what I say, I can make the world rain and call it fire" I said, taking a sip of the whiskey. " knowingly or unknowingly Haze trusted me, I used it to my advantage and made up a perfect lie. No one second questioned me, I told them Mark was alive and he was healthy and he was the base for Tyler. I don't even know if it is true. I know Mark, I know he had a brother but I  didn't know it was Tyler. But I found out and used it to my advantage "

" why? "

" Haze would have never won against Tyler. Mark had a lot, it took a lot for me to kill him. Of course Tyler would have more. I wanted Haze to win. So I helped him "

" then, Whose house did Haze stole the money and stuff? "

" Daniel. I had no proof that Mark was a base for Tyler. So I gave an address, and lied that it was Mark's and Haze believed it and went stole everything. I blackmailed Daniel with it and asked him to help Haze. He burnt the building, idiot "

" Okay, so basically Haze wanted to make dead Mark's enemy come after Tyler so that they will have enough resources against Tyler and that he would win. But you made up a lie about Mark so that you would make Haze take help from the Dans so that he could win. So you made Haze to think of taking help"

" correct "

" Okay, but how did Tyler know about you in the first place and Mikey where is he coming from? "

" Mikey had a friend named Rhode. He has been a spy, he is working for someone. I don't know who. Rhode knew about me and rattled to his boss that I am in New York and Mikey unknowingly has been helping Rhode. Mikey told me this before he died. "

" Okay, you have to find Rhode and then he will lead you to the boss "

" if only that was easy. Rhode has been a spy, Jenna. For all I know he changed his name  and is probably back to the place where he came from. I am guessing that after Rhode found out about me he told his boss his boss told Tyler to take care of me. To kill me. I need to find that boss "
