Miley pov

It was around half past five in the morning when I woke up. After Haze attended to my wounds, he told me it was best if I slept in the gang house. And I was in no mood to oppose. So I slept in the luxurious room they had kept for me.

"Morning, sleeping beauty" Alex said leaning on the door.

"What are you doing here?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

"We have school soon, thought I would drop you to school" he said.

"Last time I checked, you didn't like me " I said getting out of the bed.

"I still don't, but gotta get used to seeing your ugly face" he said sighing.

I glared at him. "Atleast it's better than your ugly ass face" I said walking past him.

"Wait, we have a meeting to attend before we leave. Haze called us to the study room" Alex said following behind me as I got downstairs.

Haze was already talking to Nicole when we both entered, I looked outside the window. The sky was clear and the stars were shining brightly. Only near the horizons did the dark blue change to mild light but apart from that there was no sign of daylight.

"Did you guys find anything?" Haze asked.

"No, none of Tyler's past alliance know anything about Crusaders or anything for that matter" Nicole said with a defeated sigh.

"I saw something" I said. Haze snapped his head up and promoted me to go on with his hand.

"what?" Alex asked, looking at me curiously.

"There was a file in that 'Ladies' gang house. It was named Keith, it said that he had arranged that gang a trade with the Crusaders. And guess what, it was the same time you had the drug trade with them. Everything is almost same, just that the Ladies gang gave them money inturn for drugs" I said.

"That makes no sense" Axel said his face molded into confusion.

"Like, why would they do that? The Ladies were already in shortage of money, why would they spend it?" Vincent voiced his thoughts.

"May be Kendal is working with your enemy" I suggested.

"Kendal?" Nicole asked snapping her neck to look at Haze.

"No" Haze replied with a stoic expression.

"She is back? "Nicole asked, seemingly surprised

" Yes " Haze answered.

"Are you getting back with her?" Nicole asked, abruptly.

That's interesting.

"Maybe" Haze said, and pressed his mouth in a thin line.

"Okay....So now who are our suspects?" Alex asked, after a long pause.

"Tyler, Victor, Kendal" Vincent said.

"And we all are suspecting them to be the one who is trying to put Haze down?" I questioned.

"Either that, or Kendal and Victor are working with Tyler to put Haze down" Caleb said nodding his head.

I walked around the couch to sit but that's when a question popped into my head. "why don't we examine the bullet with which Keith was killed?" I asked.

"We can't since the body is with the police and I am pretty sure that the bullet they might have found inside of him is with them too" Caleb answered.

"Why?" Alex asked.
